Hey Folks,

I received my Incredible on Thursday, 4-22, and I have been playing with it and setting up since then. Tonight I finally got all of my emails to push through Gmail like I want, so I am completely pleased with this phone.
I had the Moto Droid and then the Eris, but I returned both in anticipation of the Incredible. The Inc is like a super fast version of the Eris. It does everything it did, through Sense UI, only its improved with the 2.1.

The screen is beautiful. Everything works lightning fast. Sound quality is good, and I have had good reception compared tot he BB Curve I am replacing.

I am using a Moto Droid screen protector modified to fit for now. Because the phone is so thin, I really want to get the seidio shell and holster, as It will make the phone easier to handle and carry. I will also get a finger prng proof protector ASAP.

My only complaint, the vibrate feature is almost as weak as the Eris, which is very disappointing. I hate having a phone that rings, but I have to with HTC units it seems. Maybe this will work better when I get a proper holster on my belt so I can feel the vibration more.
I would love to have a way to change this, but I cannot see how this would be possible.

The battery seems OK. The first and 2nd charges were disappointing, but today I went all day with moderate use, and I never got the yellow low warning bar, so I think the battery will work fine for me. I may still look at the Seidio extended battery if they make one fir the stock shell.

I am not a "tech guy" so I will be awaiting other reviews and helpful tips. Maybe I will even try rooting this bad boy at some point. I look forward to the weeks following everyone's receiving their new Incredible phones to learn more about what this thing can do.

Nice i really like the eris it just didn't have the space i needed for all the apps i was using. I had it filled up in the first 2 weeks i had it and that was after wiping it clean after week 1 and only installing apps i felt i really needed. I'm glad to hear it is alot like that phone but better. I really had a hard time giving up my eris as i would have to be without a smartphone for 11 days by the time the incredible shows up. I really didn't realize how attached i got to it in just the 2 1/2 weeks i had it. Its come in really handy a number of times just within the first 2 weeks. I used google navigation and find my car to get to the cubs game at wrigley field and find my car once the game was over. I used the navigation to get to and from a casino about an hour from here, and i used to check the weather daily with weatherbug. Even MLB at Bat 2010 was handy to know when my favorite team was going to play that day as since i've been without it i've had to manually check the schedule via their website. I had no idea how handy it was and how much i miss having that thing. Oh well its just a few more days and all will be good again.

Watch out for those "extended" batteries: BatteryBoss Calls Out False Capacity Claims!

I always have my phone set to vibrate, so if this is true then i would also like to know if anyone finds an app that would make it vibrate stronger.
Don't know about stronger. The vibration device is what it is... But apps like Handcent have options to make the vibration pattern different, so it may be more noticable.

I miss calls and notifications on the Eris all the time when it's in my pocket. That's the main reason I don't leave it there much.

Looks like the Seidios performed the best out of the aftermarket brands they tested...
Their slim extended batteries performed worse than OEM batteries--although advertised a higher capacity. The extended battery is only 84% of it's advertised capacity (N1 model). So it would be better to just get an OEM over a third-party if you want the slim-form factor.

Good question...

Was just getting ready to ask that myself...

Wasn't sure if that was a phone thing or a google thing?...

I'm beginning to think that it is a Google problem, but with that being said, when my Eris was running 1.5, images displayed correctly. When I installed the 2.1 leak, I began to get the box with the blue question mark.

Wow thats an eye opener. Well no more seidio batteries for me. I'm not paying all that money for less juice than the stock oem battery. I feel like an idiot now for buying 2 of them for the eris. I do like their cases though, but i guess thats all they got going for them. I can't believe how much they sell those batteries for, expecially considering the competition. I guess they just figure people buy them on impulse and don't do the research, which i guess is right. I mean why would they change if so many people are buying them. I had no idea how deceptive they were until reading that chart. Shame on them.

This is the same case with Laptop batteries. You have to be VERY careful where you purchase batteries and what brand. Alot of these 3rd party batteries use cheap low quality cells inside yet they lie and advertise higher capacity. This is the way 3rd party battery Mfrs have been operating since the beginning.

An OEM battery will ALWAYS be superior to ANY 3rd party battery of the same volume regardless of advertised mah capacity but then again they are usually much cheaper.

Well I called VZW support and they told me the 2150mAh was the same size as the original.. but they don't always know what they are talking about. As stated above I think this one requires the larger battery cover.
Anyone making $9.00/hour does not know what they are talking about. Its just the way things are as level of intelligence dictates how much $$$ you make. Anyway, 2150mah will be significantly larger.

A battery that has a higher mAh is almost always larger, especially if it is almost 1000 mAh more. The size of the battery is almost directly related to the charge it holds.
