I recently bought a Galaxy 3 4.3 from Boost to replace a Galaxy 2 I owned. My phone was stolen 1st of the 2014 year so I need a new phone. I had an old thread here is the link as to where I left off with my old phone......
More Info on phone
Device Name and Model Number - SPH-L710
Version 4.3 Baseband version - L710PUBMK5
Kernel 3.31.2045665
Hardware Version L710.14
What model information is needed when looking for compatible files to work with?

I wanted to use this new phone for a tethering device and so far it looks like I cant buy a hotspot option from Boost and my first attempts to get any app to tether without root is going nowhere. At present I would have preferred to not root phone as no desire for ROMS and any Apps I use I purchased.
I hoping you guys can lead me to the best way to get this phone working as I need. I would not mind rooting if I can rollback the system If and when the Official 4.4 Kitkat come out.
I would not be able to use the backup software that requires root as well but its not a deal breaker if I can just be able to tether device.
I gonna get this thread started and see where it takes me and can answer any questions to get tethered.
I seen some info on supposedly need to Step two: Enable USB debugging mode on your phone. If it's running Android 4.0 or 4.1, tap Settings, Developer Options, then tick the box for "USB debugging." (You may need to switch "Developer options" to On before you can do so.) On Android 4.2 and later, tap Settings, About Phone, Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging." Then tap OK to approve the setting change.
I not seen USB Debug option my G3 4.3 is it still there?
