OMG I got a 25% discount as an employee of a company I don't work for!!! I followed the instructions
here, which I summarize for completeness:
- Register a free aol account with the aim.com domain: https://new.aol.com/productsweb
- Go to Sprint's corporate discount site: Sprint | Employer Discounts and enter your aim.com email address.
- Wait for an email from Sprint (took about an hour in my case)
- Follow that link, enter "Cox Enterprise" as your employer.
- Duh, order your phones and service!
Note: I had 3 Sprint lines were beyond the contract period. It was complicated to convert these into EVO phones without losing your existing phone numbers (porting the numbers over doesn't work; the website sends you into endless loops and/or "sorry no can do, call Sprint" messages.) What I did was
- Create 3 new lines
- When I checked out, I added those lines to my existing account rather than starting a new one. In fact, by doing it this way I got an additional $50 instant discount for new lines of service.
- When I get the new phones I'll activate them, swap around the phone numbers, then cancel the old lines of service.
At least, I hope that will work. If Sprint tries to deny that and charge me up the wazoo for 6 phones, at worst I can just send back the 3 new phones within the 30 days, although that means a lot of wasted effort.
