I don't blame him, and for those who care - I figured I would keep you in the loop.

I have supported Pete for some time now (and Fab ) because the work is top notch. I have tried MANY ROMs and I always come back to a Pete based ROM. I admire his pioneering, especially the scripts because it makes life easier.
It is sad when people simply don't say "this feature is thanks to Pete" - how hard is that.

Ok, talk is talk but you all need proof, thats the good stuff!
As well all know Cyanogen/Koush ROM has apps2sd and alot of other features, it accomplishes this feat by calling a bunch of services to run at boot. These services aka scripts are located in a folder (created by cyanogen and only found in his roms) the folder is: /system/etc/init.d In this folder there are various files that run when the phone boots. The reason they run when the phone boots is because it is compiled into the kernel. These services set up the necessary changes to make apps2sd and other things work automatically. In this init.d folder you can find one of Cyanogen's many "Easter Eggs" as he calls them. "Easter Eggs" are little hidden "watermarks" that show users what ROM they are using. For example in this init.d folder there is a file called 00banner it is called banner because it is exactly that, a banner of his name. As you can see he has written his name to display via a terminal at boot. BlackDroid (unknowing of how to make a service run at boot) realized that these files run at boot so he simply removed Cyanogen's "Easter Egg" and replaced it with the contents of my "Pete" script that runs at boot on my ROM, giving users great performance gains. Another thing to ponder, what reason do you think only the kernels that work with cyanogen mod will work on his ROMs? One last thing, someone needs to do some research on cpu scaling. Give me any kernel and I can make it work with my ROM. My reasoning for this post is that I want users to be aware of who really puts in the work.
Note to Ultimate Droid: I would have never posted this if you gave credit where it is due, its a very simple concept.
THIS JUST IN VIA MY TWITTER: Remove the stock boot animation that comes in the UD ROM and guess what appears!? Cyanogens boot screen! This is priceless
Update 5/10/10: BlackDroid's response to copying my work are as follows...
"Those commands are well known and can be used by anyone that know a sufficient amount about the system"
If you knew any better you would know that the "performance" cpu governor ignores thresholds and sampling rates, making that useless to include in your copying and pasting into your ROM. So take this comment as advice and remove those two parts next time you copy my work.
"I use the same kernels as cyanogenmod because the ramdisk in the kernels are a different size than a normal kernel and this needed in order to use the app2sd feature that they have which I have credited to its creator."
This does not make any sense at all, you can add any feature to any ramdisk, not just Cyanogens; the size has nothing to do with it at all. One day you will learn how to edit a ramdisk rather than copying it. If you would have gave credit from the beginning any dev would have kindly taught you how.
"In my new rom there are many features from ALL OVER, from many developers all with full credit given including the ones from cyanogenmod. And the fact that he uses MY custom scripts and still TO THIS DAY claims he is the original creator (since he was more well known than me at the time he actually got away with it) as you can see HERE and in may more of his roms. I have not confronted him on the very fact because I think the idea of going after someone for things like these are utterly childish, but I feel I have to since he has backed me into a corner. He actually came to my forum and watched my thread which he did often over at Alldroid and I confronted him there about it because he seemed to be lurking and he actually admitted to stealing them and admitted that he thought it was a good idea. Here is all the proof in the links below so this can end here and now and doesn't have to go any further than this page."
The only ideas for scripts I ever used from your ROM are the following: rmemail, rmdock, rmmms. And you are right, scripts were a great idea, that's why I chose to take them above and beyond what you had been doing.
And what many do not know, when BlackDroid first came into the scene of doing "remixes" to ROMs I tried to help him and even welcomed him. At one time he was using Koush's ROM when it was in the beta stage. The pulldown said CDMA rather than Verizon and I gave BlackDroid a step by step on how to fix it to say Verizon. My post immediately got deleted by him for some reason because he took offense that I knew he was using Koush's ROM.
In the end the good guys always win."
