Still the phone to get?/nexus two

Is the nexus one still the phone to get? After new phones have been release such as the evo, droid x, and the iphone 4. Do you speculate a nexus two coming out soon?

Well last rumors I heard was, Google is not gonna make a Nexus 2 phone. But rumors are rumors.

Nexus One is a good phone to get on Tmobile. Free internet tethering/usb tethering, Portable wifi Hotspot, which a very neat feature to have. Plus so many other features that's coming with 2.2 Froyo

I don't agree that they simply wont bring out a new device because the N1 didn't sell that well. It is still an amazing device, I just feel the marketing was very sub-par and so much so that maybe not enough people knew about it.
Let alone the fact you could only get it from Google direct from their website and no retail store had it. Simply stupid in my opinion. - Even though I purchased direct from Google and had it shipped to the UK :p

Also, the fact that they've done so much work on Android with Froyo just being released leads me towards the fact that surely they can't keep developing Android for a phone that eventually will become out-dated (if it isn't already!)
I know Froyo isn't just for the Nexus One but it's the first device it's created for and seems to be their test platform for everything at the moment.

Roll on another Google phone I say, but it doesnt have to be any time soon.

I don't think there will be a Nexus Two for a while. I still think yet is a good choice despite all the other phones coming out. It is pretty much THE phone to get here in Canada though now we have the Acer Liquid E and as always the Sony Xperia X10. But neither are Google's baby and the X10 is still on 1.6. The Nexus One should be a good choice for a while. My opinion.

I don't see it as out-dated pal.
If has features still to be unlocked (officialy) like HD capabilities, radio and Wifi n.
Who knows what else almighty Google has under their sleeves.....

let's see and hope for the best.;)

There have been some real duds that came out here in Canada, Rogers - Magic and Dream. The Hero was good for a CDMA choice on Telus, but had its own issues. The Milestone (droid) and Nexus one are the only real contenders. X10 is still on 1.6, however 2.1 should be looming, No multitouch support tho... Even the Acer is getting some sub par reviews (VERY hot back of phone and cheap build quality).

Nexus One/ Milestone and the 2 Android kings so far in Canada!

IMHO

Yeah, the Hero is not really a great contender, nice for lower end I suppose. The Liquid E could have been nice but... Acer *shiver* sometimes.
X10 is a beautiful phone and has great hardware but it is plagued by Android 1.6 and Sony's sluggish Timescape etc.
So, agreed Nexus One is certainly top but if you need a hardware keyboard then the Milestone without a doubt for Canada.
No Droid Incredible or EVO 4G here. Actually, no a lot of phones here :p

Here in Canada, we always get treated second class when it comes to these things, I'm afraid. Your best bet is still the Nexus One. What is the "phone to get" is subjective at times. In terms of hardware, it would be the Evo. However, the Nexus has the benefit of being unlocked, getting faster OTA updates, and is directly from Google.

I just hope that we do get a Nexus Two.
