    I'm thinking of fixing my motorolla droid so I can give it to my dad so he can use it's wifi ability to do some stuff. He wouldn't be signing up with Verizon. Is it possible to use the phone without a Verizon account (no calling obviously but everything else)?

    need to reset to get gps lock...

    I travel a lot and it seems that when I get to another state, the GPS wont get a fix until I reboot. After that, all is well until I get to the next state. Is this just the way it is? I had the exact same problem with my 3g iPhone.

    Help Can you disable international keyboard support?

    I like to pause on the virtual keys sometimes as I type but if I pause too long, I get the extended menu for international letters I never want to enter. I then have to x-out that menu and find the key again. Anyone know how to disable the international letters?
