What do I need so I can watch stuff from my Tablet on my TV ? Is it just some sort of cord ?

If your phone includes OTG support you can connect your phone to your TV with an OTG adapter/USB cable.
Or if you've got a home network set up AND your TV is connected to it (that part is important as your tablet and TV need to be on the same local network), you can use WiFi connectivity to stream content from your tablet to your TV. I like Google's Chromecast but a lot of people prefer Roku.
