2.1 coming this week?

Not to be a jerk, but shouldn't this be part of the existing 2.x update thread?

Sometimes you have to be a jerk and point it out, but someone with shit for brains always makes a new thread asking "2.1 out yet? LOL??" getting pissed gets just as old as the question.

The link to the Droid getting the update is totally pointless. We knew about this two days ago, or those of us that check other news sites do. The Droid got an updated Google Maps as well. Did we? No. The delay in 2.1 is with HTC, not VZW. HTC has to integrate Sense into it. Not Motorola. Whatever Moto does is completely independent of HTC.

There is already quite a lengthy thread about this in the Droid forum, and this doesn't have anything to do with the the Eris.
