I've had the V for a little less than a week and it has mainly worked fine, but now I have two problems.

    1) Gmail is not syncing. I get new emails just fine. However, old emails that I either deleted or archived via my computer are still showing up in my inbox on the V. I've pressed refresh. I've turned syncing off and then turned it back on and pressed refresh. But still, my inbox on my phone and in box on my computer do not reflect the same changes. What's the deal here?

    2) When I turn my phone on (whether because I turned it off for the night or just off/on quick to deal with an immediate problem), a bunch of the apps aren't available immediately. Sometimes, in fact, they take quite awhile before I am able to select them without the error that the app is not available. From observation, it seems to be only the apps that I've used to App2SD to relocate to the SD card. So, I guess the question is: why does it take so long for my SD card to be recognized and accessed by the phone after startup?

thanks for any and all help

    1) Open gmail, press the top right where your account name is listed, open menu, press account settings, press the account name and ensure Sync Gmail is checked.

    2) Those apps do take longer to load because the uSD is slower than the internal memory. Also part of the app is on the uSD and part is on the internal.

The account settings say it is synced. Still nothing when I press refresh. I get new emails, but old ones archived and deleted from the web remain on my phone.

The deleted mail stays in your trash for 30 days. I don't use archive because I can never find anything I have archived.

Now I have the reverse problem. There are 7 read items in my inbox on the web, and only 3 that appear in my inbox on my phone.

    Why doesn't it stay synced?

Deleted and archived mail does not stay in the inbox however. There is really some serious miscommunication between my phone and webmail inboxes. Has anyone else had this problem?

Is there any chance it has to do with using the Gmail Priority inbox? It doesn't seem so, nor would that make much sense since their both Google products. I can't seem to latch onto a reason, however.

This may be a far fetched idea, but have you tried creating a second Gmail account and trying that one to see if you have the same issue? For testing purposes, I'm really curious if you would see a change or not.

The problem has mysteriously gone away, so I'm just going to put it on the back burner for now, as I don't have time to worry about it. If it comes back again, I will try that.

    Thanks!

I have this problem frequently when restoring from a backup. The gmail log file is out of date. The way to fix this is to go to applications in the settings and clear the gmail cache. This is well documented on the XDA Forum. Hope that helps.
