Nice! Going to try it right now.

Who is Atimi Software? Is that the right app?

Just tried it, along with Goal.com's app as it was in the featured list.

Much prefer Goal.com, but I prefer ESPN Score Center on the iPhone, it's FAR superior. On Android, it's a little laggy on my Desire, and for the most part it's just ESPN mobile web.

    Anyone else disappointed?

Is there any way to set system notifications on score changes? Like with Sportstap, it puts a notification in the system bar at the top anytime the score changes. I very much like that feature since you can see that notification with the phone locked still.

It should be noted that this ins't an official ESPN application.

Yes, it does appear to be official.

It syncs with the my favorites on espn.com if you log in.

I didn't see any official endorsement from ESPN, or a mention on the developer's site that they've partnered with ESPN. So who knows? Looks like it once you install, though.

How does it compare to scoremobile?

This is indeed an official ESPN app.

Mine is a little slow to respond as well. I think it's a combination of the ads and the ticker at the bottom. I wish there was an option to turn off that ticker.

If it wasn't than the company distributing is giving away a ton of free Ad Space to ESPN LOL!

YES! I just had to say that first. Now on to the app. It is a bit laggy on my EVO but it is their first version on Android so I'm hoping they can work out the bugs. I like ScoreMobile better, it's faster and has less clutter.

Basically. If you click on a match, it opens a special mobile version of the match details.

On the iPhone, if you click on a match, you get a nice popup with an instant overview of the match such as all the stats, and it is incredibly smooth. Then you get the option to open the same special mobile version.

I was actually thinking of the Sky Sports app when I first posted, but I've just tried the ESPN apps both side by side, and there isn't a lot of differences apart, from the match overview popup and speed. The Sky Sports app is superb, thats the app I want on Android!

As for if it's the official app or not, it is practically identical to the iPhone one, so I believe it is! Hopefully it will get faster with future releases.

I hope everyone goes into the menu's preferences and sends constructive feedback for the app. Hopefully, with a couple updates, it will be perfected. The one positive is that the scores are a lot more accurate than ScoreMobile.

I added the widget and the baseball game shown is in the 3rd inning, but the widget just shows the date and start time and teams records.

Shouldn't that show me the game score like sportstap and scoremobile?

If I click the widget, it shows me current game status.

Seems like a pretty huge bug.

Also, are there any score notifications? Like sportstap has?

You are set up alerts but they show up as text messages.

Definitely a cool little app, with some good room for some crafty improvements.

Now the widget is up updating. Now idea why it wasn't before.

I'd still really like system notifications though like sportstap.

Hmm, it actually looks like this app is keeping my screen active and won't let the display time out. Not good!

Update - did an uninstall, reboot, and reinstall. Looks to be ok now.

Downloaded, installed, put the widget on one of my homepages, clicked on it to add teams, and now I'm getting the force close windo over and over. I click on force close and it just pops back up. Won't even let me turn my phone off. WTF?

    What do I do now?
