Root Is there anyway to get the build.prop file

If you're using ClockworkMod 5.0.2.8, then you can...

- Download the Nandroid Browser app to your phone.
- Use that app to open up a system.ext4.tar (tap the listing for it) which will be in a clockworkmod backup folder located either at /sdcard/_ExternalSD/clockworkmod/backup/{backup-date}/system.ext4.tar or /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/{backup-date}/system.ext4.tar
- Scroll through the list to find system/app/SystemUI.apk and system/framework/framework-res.apk and tap those listings one at a time. You'll be given an option to Save the file, so do that.

Note, if your plan is to use a backup of the stock files to theme with, then you may have trouble because the SystemUI will be contained in two files SystemUI.apk and SystemUI.odex. This is because the stock files are likely in Odexed form. If you don't see a SystemUI.odex listed directly after SystemUI.apk, then there's nothing to worry about, because that probably means this system app has already been deodexed. You don't need to worry about framework-res.apk, it will not normally have a .odex file.

There is another way to extract apps from backups, but this will probably be easiest for you. If you're using a Virgin Mobile Elite, then you could just download one of the ZIP files containing all the system files which has been posted in this forum and Leslie's forum.
