I am running Petes BB 0.2.0 (*NOT* 0.2.1 - I applied the fixes he incorporated manually) and have Fab's NexBeast installed over it - and it all worked like a piece of cake.
No dice here.. no matter what method I try. Guess it is time to upgrade my Froyo.. I am on the second "stock" leak..before FRF57. I also have the "Blue Energy" theme on top of it.. which looks decent..but has caused some issues.
Tried instruction from link above. Encountered no errors and maps.apk got deleted as intended. Still can't get 4.3. Had to download 4.2 again. Using BB froyo.

On my husband's phone, I did a triple wipe/format of all partitions except sdcard and had no issues with Google maps; it updated to the latest on its own.
If you are still having trouble with maps even after fixes you might want to start from scratch.
I'm on Nexbeast Froyo (1.1?) and have tried all of the terminal emulator maps fixes without any luck....I still have 4.2 running and unless there is something incredible about 4.3 I'm just going to stay with what I've got....
I'm worried that any further messing around in Terminal Emu will not go well...
Thanks, I'm on Nexbeast as well, waiting for next rom from source to come out, think I'll hold off on this map fix thing unless 4.3 has some fancy new features...

Anybody else having issues listening to Pandora while the Navigation is on? When the navigation starts talking the Pandora app closes/stops and doesn't come back on on it's own, before it used to pretty much pause and come back on again when the Nav. stopped talking.
Running NexBeast Froyo0.1.1.
I got the "login failed" message and needed to go to Menu>More>Sign in and allow Maps permission. Once I got all my preferences (layers, labs, etc.) set up again, I have not had the reset problem described above -- the data stayed intact.
I got this too. What I did was click sign in then immediately pull down my notification shade and there was an item for Maps requesting permission. I clicked allow and all was good.
