I'm about to take the jump into rooting and trying out some of these new ROMs, but have some questions. I've been a Fedora user for some years now, so I'm confident in my terminal skills.
-From reading through the SPRecovery directions you have to push a recovery image, but how does this affect your ability to backup the "stock" image I'm using, post rooting of course? Is all that it's doing overwriting the recovery image of what i'm using currently? Or does this enable the recovery-image shell to run, which I can then use to backup, or restore and image? The directions everywhere I've been reading aren't explicit at all, they just basically say "make a recovery image, then flash new ROM."
- If I decided to go back to stock, would it be easier to use the 2.0.1, unroot and update everything (is that even possible), or use whatever backup I made, unroot, and gain access to future OTAs?
Thanks a lot.
