This ROM also fixed the issues I was having with syncing contacts to my car headset. The stock ROM and all other ROMs listed in the all things root section did not work. The phone would pair and I could make and receive calls but my contacts would not be transferred. The MIUI ROM linked in this thread works perfectly all contacts available.

One question about this ROM. Does it require S Off? Doesn't specify on the XDA forum. I have S Off but not sure it was necessary.

Most Evo 3D Roms do require an Evo V 4G to be s-off

The link in the original post is dead but the one in post 161 works. This is an unmodified Evo3D MIUI ROM i beleive. It has been working great for me. If we could only get the 4G working...

Looks like not. Just tested it and no go. I thought it was supposed to be working in this ROM but maybe not with the Virgin Mobile Evo.

This ROM also seems to have cured my radio interference resource shortage issues. Used to have at least one a day and haven't had a single one since running this ROM.

GoSMS will work for MMS but only if you use the Go Share feature. This feature will allow you to send and receive images. Howevey, and normal MMS sent will not come through.

Is that images only?
I occasionally get other multimedia messages including more people in the message and those are broken as well due to the connection/authentication problems the rom has with vm.

Thanks for the GoSMS option though. might be worth it until a fix is found

Alright so Digital High at xda has a general mms fix for multiple carriers
That be the MIUI from post 161
Been using it for a day
Mostly stable sense based. MMS work. no 4G yet
But so far everything else seems to be working well
p.s. No toolbox yet

Can you tell me your apn settings to get mms working?.. I'm having problems setting it up

Worked for me out of the box, he added the APN configuration for VM to this last release as well as APNs for boost, metro, and cricket.
I did complete wipe prior to flashing though.

He told me I had to add in manually. That's why he provided anycut app.. it's not working out of the box for me.

Checking it. Seems I still have the sprint ones. and just checked not working now. I tried adding the apn from the .config file
its not saving them for me though.

Yeah.. the same thing is happening to me.. apn is not saving..
