Where will Lebron go?

*rant warning*

I think the whole thing is ridiculous. Holding a one hour "event" to announce where hes signing? Talk about an egomaniac, pretty shameless. Why all the hype for a guy who hasnt won a damn thing yet in 7 years?! His work ethic and focus is a joke compared to champions like Kobe Bryant  Hes too busy dancing around, throwing powder into the air and jerking off taking pics with his teammates, hes a joke. He will never win a thing in this league unless he ends up on a semi all star team with 3 other stars.

run for office........ gawd i am 100000000000% in agreement with this statement. and at the end of the day, he's just running and throwing a ball in a basket AND will make more money than you, me, and the rest of AndroidForums combined!

I'm sick of all this speculation so believe me I hate to contribute to it but I think I may have a lead on the inside. At this point I'm skeptical of everything but I trust my lead more than all these experts and their unnamed sources. At least I know who these sources are. We'll see tomorrow if they're right.

Good for him, thats huge for the Thunder! I could argue Durant is just as good as LeBron right now too. You get another piece or two and the Thunder will be a very dangerous team.

Oh and I think Lebron will end up a Knick or a Bull most likely, but we'll see.

Oh please...Durant is NO WHERE NEAR as good as Lebron (or Kobe for that matter) at this point. He **may be** one day, but certainly not now. I am happy he is staying with the Thunder though. He is the main reason the Thunder gave such good competition to the Lakers (I'm a Lakers fan btw)...Competition is good for the NBA.

That is also why I am glad to see the free agents not all signing in the same place. If 2 or 3 teams got all the free agents, it would be bad for the NBA, as teams without a "star" would start to be ignored by the public in lieu of teams that had a massive talent roster...

**EDIT** O, and Bigmerf, From what I have been reading, it's
1. Knicks
2. Cleveland
3. Miami
4. Chicago

Guess we will all find out tomorrow night at 6:00 (PST)...

fwiw, my money is on NY Knicks. Remember, they can be max money free agent players again next year when Curry etc. come off the cap. Of coarse that's assuming there is BBall next year - that could get interesting...

Please eyebeam...I do not want to think about the lockout at this point...do not mention this again until after the Lakers win the NBA finals in 2011. After that, we can all bitch about the issue... :p

Cowardly move if he goes to Miami. Ya they will be a great team and with the right roster filling players probably be the next dynasty.. but just shows that he is not confident in himself to lead a team, or be able to win a championship without being surrounded by superstars.

Hey, for us here in Minnesota a lockout is preferable to watching the T-Pups! :p

We want our lakers back, DAMMIT! George Mikan FTW!

Everyone has asked this question at least once in their life: "Where will Lebron go?"

LeBron James is planning to announce the team with which he will sign during a one-hour special on ESPN Thursday night, ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard has learned through independent sources. ESPN would only confirm that active discussions for the special are ongoing. But sources tell Broussard that representatives for James contacted the network, proposing that James makes his announcement during a 9 p.m. ET special. ESPN.com ESPN.com

Where's he going people!?
I've never asked that question. But I guess we'll see huh?

hmmmm, I wouldnt be so sure. Look at the numbers. Durant averaged 29.6 ppg and 7.6 rpg last year shooting a terrific 48% and winning the scoring title. Durant is a more efficient scorer, much better 3 point shooter, better free throw shooter, and for sure more clutch. I could also argue hes a better on the ball defender. LeBron is no doubt a better ball handler, a bit better in the post and more athletic, but Durant is a better all around player IMO.

I don't watch much anymore but I think for the sake of increased chances to win some rings they'll figure out a way to push aside the egos and play the game. Wade and James are good friends as it is.
Probably.. which sucks.. one casue I am a bulls fan. Two cause the eastern conference is going to be like the west is now, where only 2-3 teams have a decent chance at the finals.

90's basketball was great, I don't approve of this teaming up bullshit... To me it just seems like Lebron more specifically cant handle a team himself.

He will stay in Cleveland, for one he's not going to play sidekick to Wade two Chicago with michael legacy is to much for him to live up to and last New York would be starting all over again.Stay where he's at and build his own legacy he needs one more player that can help contribute.

i disagree, miami is where he is going. No state tax , plus better chance for him to win now. Cleveland is second choice due to overwhelming loyalty factors. Where i highly disagree is the KNick statement.

He come to New York

1. It will Be his team !
2. Yes he may have to put up with one year of no championship contention but either midway thru the year the Knicks will pull a sign and trade for carmello or he will come at seasons end.
3. The likely hood of tony parker coming. maybe even Chris Paul (unlikely)
4. Max contract
5. Added stock in MSG. (no other team can offer that, MO MONEY)
6. King of New York (you are not king James until you conquer New York)
7. Going down as a legend in new york and knick history as the guy who brought basketball back home
8. The biggest city in the world buying every LBJ sneaker that comes out (just ask ewing about that)
9. He is a Yankee Fan
10. His mother is a smut and will love the NYC nightlife
