Ugh I can really say now...bump charging issue was not friggin fixed...bummer

That's a hardware issue. The only "fix" is not using a Li-Ion battery ( Assuming you are talking about charging while off. The plug-unplugX4 "shouldnt" do anything, otherwise you are actually over-charging the battery, and any fix would just stop it. )

Course, theres also the Apple fix...just make it so the battery meter doesn't register the initial drop:)

Ok the cow said... (hehe cow) the cow said... that the update is expected to round off on the 29-31, when asked what that means he said the 29 is when it starts (said he got it from tech support). Also I asked him whats included and went though what we already know.
Oh and Cincy73 I asked your question just to be sure for ya buddy and he said that they will rollover onto the new version and some may be incompatible and will just sit there till they are updated so that they are compatible.
Cheers!

Right here.

2. Forgive me if posted in wrong thread.
3. Forgive the lame obvious/lame question.
4. I'm not rooted..I only have the 1st OTA that was leaked awhile back on my phone.

Is anyone using this leak now?...

Any problems installing it?...

Can/should I install it now?...

If anyone has installed this leak on their phone...are you having any problems with it?...

Thanks...

I don't understand this three day window stuff...why can't the update be available to everyone at the same time? That's the way it is for any other firmware update on any other product.

Because if the update were made available to everyone at once:
1 - it would tax Verizon's servers, making the download slower for everyone or possibly making the download impossible
2 - if a problem were found, it would be much more difficult to roll back EVERY Incredible user who installs it.

They roll out the update to a few thousand (or tens of thousand or whatever) customers at first just to make sure there aren't any major issues.

Out-fricking-standing. Someone with some thought process. Ladies and Gentlemen, all I wanted to do is give you all a heads up. I found out stupid late last night, after emailing a contact I have there. As you have learned, it WAS released. Did it get pushed to all yet? No. Is it official? Yes. You would think I would get a little thanks for posting what turned out to be fact. I too have been waiting. I have been lurking, but when I got the news (and it was from a VERY reliable source), I was happy and wanted to share it. Yes, I posted the same thing on three sites. Because it was fact. Not opinion, fact. I am getting another DINC tomorrow (for my Kid) and am hopeful it has 2.2 on it. I suspect it may. I will be happy to show screen shots tomorrow night or Saturday after I play with it.

I have not yet received the OTA, but make no mistake, it is official, as most of you have figured out. So at least someone could by me a beer or a thanks? Have a good Froyo Desert! It's coming to a DINC near you!

Thanks for listening...

Maybe we can transfer Michael Weston's 100 thanks' to you somehow? I'll get on it.

A company like Verizon should have big enough servers and they've had since April to test the update. Those aren't good excuses.

I've seen where it's recommended that you use Unrevoked forever to get S-OFF before flashing this Rom as it it may close the root hole.

Unrevoked also just updated the tool and you can go back to S-On if need be.

I'm just going to wait for someone to pull the rom.zip so I can just flash that through recovery...I guess I'm not getting much done today :D

No idea what this means but I was planning on rooting the phone after the FROYO update. Advisable or not?
