Okie dokie folkies, played with some diff kernels and these are the results I've gotten. I'm not gonna bother with benchmarks, as even from my review I was still getting pretty good ones.

Chevy's: Chevy's kernels have never really liked my Droid, so I didn't expect much. It'll load, but I can only get so much performance, and I can't get above 1GHz.

Jake's: Was my go to kernel for quite some time, but couldn't get past the "M" logo.

jdlfg's: Well how bout that? No lag. Ran nice and smooth, the way it should. However, it would randomly reboot very often and more than a few FCs. Very unstable but some hope, though.

slayer's v.1.6: Again, no lag. Wonderful, might be narrowing down the issue. But like jdlfg's, many FCs and frequent random reboots.

original slayher's LFY1.5: Basically just reflashed the ROM and kernel, and this time there was less lag, but it was still present. And it got worse after a full day and then some. Also, battery drained very fast, yet again, so I dunno.

I see slayher has updated kernels so I'm gonna try that out and I'll report back, but I wanted to get this out here.

wow a lot of problems for you an any kernel..... your droid dying:eek:

anyway this rom for me is still blowing away cm6 3 on any kernel, from stock kernel to slayher's 1.5 no lag and no FC's.

So I was experiencing the lag using Slayer's 1000mhz kernel and couldn't take it anymore. I redownloaded it through ROM manager, wiped everything in recovery, and while hunting for the zip the phone just died. Battery pulls, plugging/unplugging, I can't get it to respond. Two questions:

1-any idea how to revive my phone?
2-where in the world did ROM manager download the zip to?

UPDATE:
Okay, so apparently either the Droid doesn't charge in recovery, or it wasn't getting enough juice from my laptop. I swapped batteries with my wife and we are good to go.
I'm back in recovery, now where is that zip!?

You are correct, the droid DOES NOT charge via USB while in recovery. Also, as someone else stated, if it's "dead", you'll have to use AC to get enough juice to recharge. Glad you got it back though :)

Thanks klwheat.

I just want to emphasize how awesome this ROM is now the second time around. It's faster and smoother than when I ran SholesMod, DroidMod, Cyanogen, Kangerade, or Lithium. I have had no FC or reboots.

For those with problem I would encourage you to try again from the ground up and try different themes and kernels. Redownload, wipe, and flash, it's worth it!

Not sure if someone answered this as I have yet to read through all the pages...

Check in settings > accounts and sync and if twitter is not listed add it as a new account. I had to do this with 1.4 and after install.

If it's not set up to sync it asks for login every time

if all else fails reflash LFY 1.5 then smoked frozen then re-enter your stuff and all should be fixed. That's what I had to do earlier today b/c i really wanted the black twitter skin to match that blackNbold theme.

**BETTER WAY** if you really have a problem with your Twitter not opening right (meaning) having to sign in every time then the easiest way to fix it is go to settings > accounts and sync and if twitter is not syncing properly delete the account and when you enter your information again you should see it sync up properly (at least mine worked)

Could you see if you can go into Settings -> Sound Settings -> Volume and see if it force closes by chance? I've reloaded like 3 times now.

Mine does this too. Wasn't sure why, but luckily it's something minor enough to not make me reflash anything right now. I don't play much media on my phone, and notification volume is linked with my ringer volume.. I just use the physical volume adjusters.

I can't say that it wouldn't be nice if it did work though. ;)

Yeah I wasn't worried about Media and Volume, but I need to have my notification WAY low and wanted to adjust it. I went to CM6 for now. I'm just glad I wasn't the only one. I flashed this probably 10 different ways trying to fix it, I narrowed it down to the Gala S Theme. Every version of it, NoMarket, Stock Font, and the other font caused the issue, and since Liquid has no control over it, I decided to try CM6 for now.

I was just about to give up on LFY, I installed it yesterday along with Slayhers 1.1 kernal and it lagged, lagged, lagged! I tried playing with the LP settings and it may of helped some but I was still plagued with lag even though the Quadrant scores were decent. I read every post in the thread and was getting ready to flash back to BB when I saw that a few people had luck trying a different kernal, did I mention that I had lag?? So I flashed Slayhers 1.2 Ghz even though I've never had luck with a 1.2 Ghz kernal and Froyo. Damn if it didn't boot right up and now it seems to be running rather fast...and no LAG! I'll give it a little time and see what happens but so far so good. The temps seem okay and we'll see what battery life brings but I was having great battery life with the laggy 1.1 kernal. So, if you're having lag issues try another kernal...it very well may help! I just ran Quadrant and scored a 1711...does that seem about right?

Okay, it's been a couple of days since I wrote the above post so I figured I'd go ahead and write a quick review about this ROM. After reloading Slayhers 1200 kernal it has been running great. The transitions are buttery smooth and everything opens quickly with very little to no lag. I have not had any force closures and everything seems to be operating correctly and without issues. Battery life has been great and the temps run cool...now if I put a good load on the processor the temps will climb but they retreat quickly once the load is released. I can run Quadrant at least three times in a row without the temps causing a freeze or reboot...and that's a pretty hefty stress test. Slayhers kernal is the first one over 1.0 Ghz that I have been able to run stable with FroYo and the below Quadrant scores show it's rather fast so he's running some pretty clean code, yeah for 1.2 Ghz! I used the "Smoked" theme for a base and tweaked it to my personal liking and it has been great too. I kind of kanged the Smoked and NexTheme together to create my "Blackwood" theme...they really look and play well together IMO. So, in the end I will be keeping this combo on my phone for a while, it's fast, does everything I want it to do and looks nice! Great work by all the parties envolved! I gave this a 4 out of 5 and would have given it a 5 if I hadn't incountered problems with the 1.0 Ghz kernal...once something this nice works straight out of the box it will get the elusive 5!

My final word...

This weekend, I flashed this ROM for the third time. I was having issues with the first two installs ... Swype would NOT install, and general sluggishness all around. Yesterday, I wiped/formatted every partition and reinstalled. I flashed Slayher's 1.1 kernel. Then I reinstalled all of my apps and restored their associated data. Finally, I flashed the Black Bar theme. At that point, I was very happy. Since then, it's all gone downhill. This ROM is just ... dare I say it? ... bad. After this post, I'm going to restore 1.4 and wait for 1.6 to be released, or maybe flash Pete's new ROM upon release. Maybe it's just my DROID, I don't know. I do know that I've flashed and themed more ROMs than most, so it''s not like I don't know what I'm doing or have plenty of ROMs to compare.

Sorry LiQuiD.

I have had 0 problems with this rom. My phone is working absolutely better than I have ever had it running before. I am currently running 1.5 with the blueberry theme slayher's 1100 kernel and launcher pro (free). My phone is extremely fast and I see absoutely no lag using my phone at 1.1 ghz (both min and max in interactive mode I drop the speed down to 600 max 400 min when the screen is off) I get great battery life, I can go from 7am to about 9pm with heavy use. 1.4 I was only able to go 7am to 6pm without charging. My quad scores have been averaging around 1500 with a average cpu temp of 27C and a max of 32C. With that said I am going to download 1200 and see if my phone behaves with that. All I can say is that Liquid has built a great rom and Slayher's kernels are rocking my phone. I'll keep you updated as I go to 1200.

**Update** Went to 1200 don't seem to be seeing any problems but my quad score isn't quite what I thought it would be averaging about 1630 with min and max set to 1200 and interactive set. **Update 2** Maybe I spoke to soon now I am averaging 1740 with a high of 1795 so far so far haven't gone past 34C temp either. Thanks again for the awesome Kernel Slayher

For me the stock 800mhz kernel was very smooth, but i like to run at least 1000mhz. the slayher kernels all had some lag, but they are as smooth as a babies bottom on 1.4. So i tried Chevy's 1100mhz and now 1.5 is very smooth.

The lag you were experiencing may have been due to Compcache. Its not for everyone, and I dont think Chevy has Compcache enabled in his setups
