Root Battery stats, to wipe or not wipe?

Does wiping the battery stats really help? I'm not getting the best battery life at the moment, have the Seidio "1750", and have seen conflicting reports on if wiping the battery stats really helps or not. Tried it this morning anyway, figured it couldn't hurt. Charged the phone, gave it a nice bump charge, and then booted into recovery and wiped the stats. Guess I'll see how it goes today.

Also, when's the best time to do this? After every ROM flash?

get the phone as charged as you can bump charging ect.
wipe stats, don't plug phone in again til the phone dies completely

Wow, Neco is a guide now? They let anybody in that job. :p

I've had the best luck using the stats wipe if I flash a Rom with a marginal battery status at that time. It seems to carry over the actual % incorrectly so I charge to 100, wipe stats and call it quits. I think it would probably be a good idea to let it go to zero after that but I never have enough patience to wait that long so I only do the upper end. Sometimes I feel it's made a significant difference, other times not so much. To me, it seems to take another full cycle before it really shows it's colors.

I wiped mine yesterday in clockwork and although my battery life seems to be the same it is now a different order of things listed under "battery use" that take up usage. It used to be "cell standby" as #1 (always has been since April 29), but now it is "android system" the last two charge cycles. What this means? Have no clue :D

Also I think a "complete wipe" wipes dalvik cache....at least that's what I read about it on xda. Go ahead wipe batt stats and see what your results are.

I bump charged my phone, then did a battery wipe. Now after i charge my phone, without bump charging, my battery drains to about 90% within 10minutes. Anyone else having this problem? Wouldn't it be better to wipe stats at 100% rather than bump charging, then wiping stats? Or does this even make a difference

Yeah, that's why I don't bump charge before resetting battery stats. If a person bumped every single time, it might be ok but most of the time I just unplug and go. So I want that to be my representation of 100%.

I did a wipe of the Battery and Dalvik last night after installing King BFS#2,I am rooted running the leaked 2.2 OTA
Wi-Fi, GPS,Bluetooth off, Sync is on
My Uptime 10:08
My awake time says 0:57 ( I guess it resets after a certain amount of time)
Battery Level at 69% on the stock battery.
I'm using SetCPU with the settings used by ChiTownJim
for me to get this much out of the factory battery is amazing
