Has anyone done a factory reset and not been able to activate?

Everything else after the factory reset is great. Phone is snappier than ever! I just can't make calls. haha

Yes. Just got off the phone with VZW. They say their system is updating and will be back up at 5am EST. Cant activate until then.

Guess the CSR's computers are getting FroYo too !!!

Thanks dude. I do wonder how you "got off the phone with VZW." After my activation failed it transferred me to a service rep and the automated message said they were closed.

In any event, thanks for the heads up! I'll try again in the morning.

LOL I do have a home phone. You select the option for lost/stolen phone reporting and unable to make calls and you get their emergency center which is 24 hours.

Date trick worked here too! Downloading now. I tried this Saturday and it didn't work, but that was in the afternoon. Maybe I should have tried it later that night. Anyways, hands to the sides, nose in the air, and doin' the Snoopy dance!!!:D

P.S. SeattleYanksFan, have you thought to try *228 and either option 1 (program), or if you have your old phone handy, option 3 (program a different phone and then switch back)? Don't know if that would screw something up after a factory reset as I have never done one yet, but maybe something to try.

You have a home phone in 2010? Let me guess, you also have a pager and record player. :D

Believe it or not I tried that on my cell when it wouldn't activate and it sent me to some automated guy telling me there were no reps available.

Either way, glad to know it's not just me! Then again, after dropping my naked Incredible for the first time today, I added a few scratches to the case (not the screen thank god) and wouldn't have minded a new one. ;)

I finally got my update. It popped up on my screen around 1045pm PST (I'm in Seattle, WA). Everything went smoothly. I ended up doing a phone wipe after the upgrade. Scrolling and such seems much more snappier. Phone seems clearer and signal is stronger. I have noticed one problem so far. Twitter for HTC Sense cannot login into my Twitter account. It says incorrect username and password. I verified what I typed in was correct but, still nada. Yet, I downloaded the Twitter app and input the same exact login info and it worked. Has anyone else had any an issue like this happen?

Yeah yeah, lol. There are people I follow...they're funny and I do keep in touch with some friends that way too. At any rate this is the second thing where something with HTC's damned Sense UI has login issues. First its their mail client and Hotmail's ActiveSync setup. HTC's mail client doesn't work. Now, it seems their UI can't login into Twitter now. It was working fine with 2.1 I wonder what went wrong.

I did find a page of someone talking about a potential cause. I will be following to see. It looks like many other people are experiencing this. In case anyone gets interested,
