calibrating

I'm new to the x and I'm trying to find the touch calibrating screen. Anyone help a newbie out!

you mean like the env touch had something like that? if so i dont believe there is one..

I think...and I stress that...that if you power down, pull the battery, and restart the phone, it memorizes how you touch it for the first few minutes.

Dammit, now I gotta go seek out where I read that a couple months ago.

I do remember calibrating the screen for the compass app. That asked to move the Droid X in a couple of different directions and in a figure 8 type motion.

You don't need to calibrate a capacitive touch screen.

It's not like the older (resistive) screens where you had to tap those crosses with your stylus.

I came from the dinc and it had a calibration screen to help it recognize how u tried to push buttons. Thot it mite be a android thing I just wasn't finding. I'll try to turn it upside down, hold my breath, and stand on my head while texting and see if that works! ;-)

For the keyboard, right?

That's a nice little HTC feature that I used when I used the HTC keyboard on my D1, though I never found it to make a difference, lol.
