Last night, I went from FlyX 0.1 Final to RubiX 0.5 Focused through Rom Manager (maybe a mistake). It seemed to have gone well, as I lost all Blur, but the install was really quick, and the boot animation was still FlyX, so I figured something was amiss. I did a rom manager backup and nand backup, but it seems that I've lost root on the move, as nothing that requires root is working (ie - 3g wifi hotspot). Can I use one of the backups to go back to FlyX, or will that brick something? Thanks for any replies.

Ok you lost blur because that is what the ROM removes. If you wanted Blur you should have done the blurry version. You should not have lost root though. How are you going to use the backup if you lost root? :D. Do you DroidX boot strap reinstalled? if so press the top button "bootstrap recover" and see if you get prompted to grant it SU permission. If so you still have root. Once it says "success" you can then press"Reboot Recovery" and restore your backup. NO it won't brick your phone if it was made just before you installed the RubiX ROM. I assume you are on the leaked 2.2 so you actually have nothing to worry about as you can always still use the 2.1 sbf if you do brick the phone. If you are not on the leak then you have to make sure you don't try to restore a backup that might take you back to 2.1
