froyo 2.2 update for samsung vibrant ?

Why is it so hard to find out when the froyo upate is gonna happen? I have the samsung vibrant and its killing me when then this update going to start. First they said it will be released in september, then they said mid october, now they are saying november! !! Wtf! !!

They said by the end of the year so you know whats after November

Have you tried it through KIES? I just updated my Samsung galaxy S to froyo 2.2 by KIES. In other words, it should be out already!

I just ran Kies for a Samsung Vibrant, and I received the message:

"This device's version cannot be updates."
