What would it take for you to give up your N1?

it's hard to explain, but to me, it just is hard to hold. i use to have a casemate gel case and that made it the perfect depth, but i didnt like how it covered up much of the phone. it's been about a week since ive been using the phone without a case after about 9 months of using the case. like i guess the only way to explain is when holding the phone to your ear, that's when i feel awkward, like it's too thin and doesnt rest against my palm when holding to my ear. maybe i'm just use to older model phones which had more depth. but after 9 months, i finally decided i'm not as afraid of dropping anymore and i want to use it as it should be used and show the design, b/c i really like the design of the phone

Screw the cases, I love 'em naked. My Nexus bared it all off and showed off its design and grace for all to admire. lol

The N1 was one of my favorite "feeling" phone, cold to the touch and I loved the textured back, really made it feel nice. I only suited mine up in a screen protector and kept it in it's pouch.

Oh....Roze....I have been meaning to say something to you....Traitor....;)

Motoblur is crap though.

Having said that, I'm really enjoying the G2. Funny thing is, I didn't wanna get the Nexus One because it didn't have a hard keyboard like my G1.

Now that I've had a chance to play with the G2, I kinda wish it didn't have a hard keyboard and was more like my Nexus One.

The three things the G2 has over the Nexus One are more app memory / built in memory, a better and bigger screen and HSPA+ is nice.

I'm on the verge of switching to G2 full time, but I think I'm gonna root the Nexus One first. It's a pain in the ass running out of app space.

My goodness! What would it take to make me trade in my N1?

Definitely not the Nexus S. I am SO disappointed with that phone. Yes, the fact that it has a nice chunk of onboard storage space is nice, but why remove MicroSD functionality? WHY??

Samsung themselves have done themselves a disservice, I think. The internals of the phone are nice enough, but I hate the look and feel - I felt the same about the Galaxy S which I wanted to recommend to friends but couldn't bring myself to just because it felt so cheap in my hand. Certainly didn't match up to the N1's build quality.

My wishlist:
-Must be dev phone - Vanilla Android only for me!
-Minimum spec-setter - my N1 set the bar for hardware in Android phones. The NS did not.
-Dual-core OR separate GPU - I don't think dual-core is essential, and I imagine it sucks up battery juice like nothing else (although new Snapdragon dual-core would be tempting!), but I think to unleash the potential of gaming on Android, a dedicated GPU should be minimum spec.
-Front-facing camera. More of a "would be nice" feature, I think - I can't see myself using it on any kind of regular basis, especially not using UK networks! I'll stick with Skype on my laptop for now.
-More internal memory for storage. Whilst we now have official apps2SD, I still have a TON of apps that don't have that feature enabled. With the market getting more and more biiiiig apps, I find myself having to uninstall apps to free up room so I can download a new app, move the new app to my SD card and then reinstall everything I uninstalled - PROPER hassle.

So, I don't think my wishlist is unreasonable. In fact, I completely expected the Nexus S to be able to deliver these, but alas.... :(

So, when I bought my phone and shelled out

There is a way round this that doesn't involve root :)

adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2
