Trade in Wildfire for desire?

I didn't want to start a new thread for this and figured it would fit in here - so here's my question.

My contract is up for renewal in a month or so and I want to know where to go next. I absolutely love my Desire, but it's hard not to be tempted to change to something else. The HD seems a little bigger than I'd like a phone to be so I have pretty much ruled that out - but I'm eager to stay with HTC 'cos Sense makes the phone so much more user friendly.

is there anything in the pipe line? Is there already a decent alternative? And as a side note....does my desire have much value as a second hand phone?

cheers for any advice.

The Incredible is also not a UK model.

There are certainly new devices in the pipeline. Images of a few have been leaked, though not specs so far (so a little less information than has generally leaked by this time the last couple of years). If you are happy with the Desire, don't need the Z's keyboard, and think the HD is a bit big, then why not wait a few months and see what comes next? You presumably don't have to change the moment the current minimum contract term ends.

you've pretty much confirmed what I was thinking. No need for the keyboard so currently not much to be had. I'm certainly in no rush to change so I Can always bide my time. I wondered why I couldn't find much info on future phones but I guess that's a deliberate move from HTC.

Cheers for the help.

As always, there are some interesting handsets due in the next 2-3 months from HTC, LG, and Sony Ericsson, to name just 3. Personally, the leaked HTC device that is expected to be the direct replacement for the current Desire is what I'm interested in most, as the screen looks like a similar size but with improved hardware.

Which phones this? The Scorpion/Olympian. Wheres the specs linked? I might be interested in this when I replace my Desire next year.
