Help Not getting all my texts

For some reason, I am not getting all of the texts that are being sent to me. My wife and daughter (both on DINCs), have shown me texts on their phone they sent to me, but never arrived on my phone.

What could be the issue? Their end or my end? Verizon?

We see this across many devices and carriers. It seems to come and go, with some users being able to at least temporarily remedy the issue by rebooting.

It seems to boil down to server glitches here and there.

I'd still call the carrier support line to report it. Sometimes they'll even have a statement about it being a known issue at the time in certain areas.

What is odd is that my son will send me two messages and only one will come through. Sounds like there is not much that can be done, which is annoying since as a family we often rely on texts to plan logistics. Ah, well, we will need to institute a policy of acknowledging receipt of texts to make sure.

One other suggestion, it might be a good idea to go into your messaging app in the application manager and clear the cache (menu > settings > applications > manage applications).

I'd also clear as many already received messages as possible (meaning, keep only the ones you know you have to keep).
