To start I want to say I'm finally going from Blackberry to Droid. To do this I'm not sure if the best option is to rick not getting the TB at Verizon with a higher price or going through Wirefly which I've never done. And since I've never used Wirefly I'm scared to start wince VZW stores have been good to me. I pm'd this to Wirefly on the board but thought I would post so I could hopefully get a faster answer. If I get a favorable one towards Wirefly I will order online now. If not its cross fingers for Verizon tomm morning.

I currently have a family share plan. The plan has 1 primary and 1 add on line.

I have never used wirefly and have a few questions:

1.) Is it possible for me to order 2 thunderbolts for the 2 lines in my account?

2.) Can I still get my Verizon discount since its been 2 years since I've bought a new phone? Is the discount 100 or 50 now?

3.) How does your warranty work? Can I still have my phone serviced through verizon or no since I'm getting a protection plan from wirefly?

And with this plan what does it cover specifically and how do I get serviced? If it helps I live in South Florida.

I use my phone for business and this is my lifeline. Going from BB to Droid and need this to work without any hitches.

Thanks in advance for your response.

1) Yes, I believe so. I don't see why not. I know you can order 2 phones for 2 lines for sure, but they might handle the Tbolt a little differently.
2) No, NE2 credits are strictly through VZW stores
3) If I recall correctly, the warranty (after your 14-day return policy) is the same as any other VZW phone under contract. First year is through VZW so if you have any issues you contact VZW for a replacement. (someone can correct me if I'm wrong as this is a little sandy in my memory)
Plan covers any manufacturer defect, but does not cover physical damage (not without insurance).

Yikes. I wont miss a payment because I have it on auto-pay, but its hard to guarantee I wont change plans. Thats insane.

What if one month my minutes are going high and need to up it for a month? I'm just screwed then?

And I already know I'm switching my features. Not sure if that matters but when I get TBolt I will no longer need VZ Navigator.

1) Yes you can order 2 Thunderbolts for both lines on your account from us.
2) NE2 is a Verizon only promotion, and we are not able to apply that to our orders.
3) We have a 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee, that states the following: Order any cell phone, PDA/Smartphone, or wireless PC card with a wireless service plan. If you don't like it, we'll swap it for another model OR refund 100% of your purchase price (excluding shipping and processing fees). You can read our entire Satisfaction Guarantee at www.wirefly.com/about/guarantee/
You can get your phone serviced at Verizon for all warranty work, even if you get our Device Protection. Device Protection Service gives you hassle-free repair or replacement of your wireless device in case of damage or theft through the Mobile Device Protection Association (MDPA) with NO deductible. You can find out more information about our device proctection at this website: www.mobiledeviceprotection.com

Let me know if there is anything else that I can do to be of assistance. :)

My money is still being held by Wirefly even though they claim I'm not eligible for an upgrade (even though Verizon said I'm a go for my TB tomorrow). If it weren't for the $500 credit I have available on my Verizon account, I would be severely pissed with Wirefly putting a block on $230 on my account for moneyI was going to spend on the Thunderbolt.

PM me your order number so I can get the funds released for you. :)

I bought mine there today. They say on the site they are in stock, But they are out. The girl told me they have a shipment of 800 phones coming in today. If its not on that shipment it will be in tomorrow. Fed Ex is free ship. So i ended up getting it because Amazon is out and its 8 days before they get more, i was told on the phone. I had no issues with the order through Wirefly. I called Verizon and they said i wouldnt have an issue either

Not change your plan if you cancel it that is what the 6 month is for

You can read our purchase terms in detail here on our website: Wirefly terms and conditions including our equipment discount policy.

By accepting this Instant Savings Discount, you agree to repay $200 of this discount ($300 for smartphones and netbooks) and authorize us to charge your credit card in repayment of this amount if, you signed up for a 2 year agreement and during the 181 days after your new equipment is activated, your wireless carrier notifies us that the services you purchased have been suspended, disconnected, or deactivated, or if you return your purchase outside of the return and exchange provisions of our 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee.

Please note some of the reasons your wireless carrier may notify us of a deactivation include if:
  • You transfer this equipment to another carrier line of service after it is activated
  • You change your rate plan to a lower monthly service rate than was specifically required at the point of purchase
  • You deactivate texting/data features that were specifically required at the point of purchase
  • The new line of service activated with your order is used to replace a pre-existing account
Let me know if there is anything else that I can explain regarding our purchase terms.

i noticed one thing on wirefly!!! they are charging higher monthly plan for same mins!! i mean i saw on verizon site.. for thunderbolt or any phone they have 39.99 per month for 450 mins where as if u purchase from wirefly.. they show 59.99 per month.. for 450 mins ... its wierd! i think overall this is where they make money.. we pay 20 bucks per month extra to wirefly and remaining standard amount verizon takes it!! this might be the case they may offer a handset cheaper in price.. but overall they earn a lot over 2 yr contract from customer!!

correct me if i am wrong guys!
