Dan, you can gladly have mine for $230. Afterall, it isn't even 3 months old yet. And you can wait for the update and have a pretty little brick besides! Aren't you excited??? No? Me either
When I bought my Treo when it first came out, it worked until I upgraded to the 755 and it worked until it died. When I bought my Blackberry when it first came out, it worked...flawlessly. I lost it. Then the Androids came out...perfect timing! However, this Sammy is a bust, whether it is its operating system or not, it doesn't work much of the time.
As someone previously said, when you purchase a Smartphone, it comes with the understanding that you will receive timely updates to keep it operational. That isn't happening. One can keep sending SB2's back and getting refurbs or, new batteries ad nauseum or even new phones if you have recurring issues and insurance.
Ok. We have identified that at least one of the underlying issues is that the OS is not up to par for this phone. This renders it useless for serious deployment in your business, let alone your personal life. It is embarrassing to keep making excuses as to why my important call has dropped or that I cannot press any functions because the screen is frozen.
I want Samsung to step up to the plate on this one. Whether that means releasing a workable update or issuing us new phones, remains to be seen. But something must be done. This is too expensive a phone to just tra-la-la about. If I just used my phone for texting to Facebook friends, it would be different.
