Root OTA Just Broke my X???

Did you previously do the maderstock.zip to go back to stock. I mean it could have been weeks ago but this may have something to do with it.

Nope that came out after I removed root.

I was rooted...I reverted to a saved nandroid that was bone stock then wiped the phone and started over like it just came out of the box. I'm pretty sure I had removed all traces of ever rooting this beech. I think I did it before 2.2.1 (.340?) came out, cause I know I accepted that OTA and it worked, but I'll have to go back in my posts and check???

While I'm waiting for the SBF's to download at work...what will I lose again?

All my settings? All my game progress? All my contacts (saved in google so there's that)? SBF "wipes" the phone right? Clears everything but the SD card correct? It's been a while since I dabbled in the rooting world and have forgotten what does what.

So doing a SBF wont remove data. However since it will be taking you back to froyo you will need to wipe data/cache anyway since the data isn't compatible. So everything will be gone but your sd card. It wont touch yhay

what happens when you use maderstock.zip. I used it to go back to stock, now I'm having the same issue.

there is a reason that all of the instructions for getting to GB had a step to SBF back to Froyo...and that is because maderstcok.zip DOES NOT work if you're trying to get back to Froyo to upgrade...

yeah...the SBF itself only flashes the system files...but you will likely have all sorts of problems with your existing data...so you gotta wipe it anyway...

this is why being rooted and having an app like Titanium is awesome...back up all your app data and re-do your backups every once and awhile...if anything goes wrong and you have to wipe...you can restore them

Just letting everyone know that this has me stuck in a boot loop as well. I had a rooted phone with the black glass theme. A couple months ago I wanted to go back to stock so I did the maderstock.zip. Thinking everything would be fine I jumped on the GB OTA update, but sure enough I get to the bootloader with the err:A5,69,35,00,27.
There should be a sticky to let people know not to upgrade if they did the maderstock.zip.
Now I guess it is time to learn how to SBF.
