Got my MHL HDMI adapter today from mobilefun...
Seems good - my amp doesn't give all the signal details but it seems to be 1080i PCM 44khz (assume stereo)
I thought I'd try some large 1080p mkv's but the phone and sd-card only support FAT32 (4Gb max file size) but the smaller mkvs I've tried all look great.
For those of us with old skool non-HD TVs is there any way to play films from the SGS2 on the box? My Galaxy S output video via the 3.5 earpiece jack, but the SGS2 doesn't.
I should add with the above you'd only be able to access the phone as a usb drive and play the pictures/audio/video, not mirror the screen for apps/browser etc..
The reason I ask is I ordered the USB OTG cable they also advertise.
At the time of ordering it was lited as in stock ready for immediate delivery.
3 days later I received an email from them informing me they had not shipped the cable as stock was not due in until the 15 June at the earliest.
I was then asked if I wanted to change the order for something else????
I have since taken this up with MobileFun but so far they have not replied to any of my messages.
They took payment even though their policy is "We do not take payment until the item has been dispatched".
That to me is a concern....
1. They took payment ~ even though the item is not available.
2. They stated it was In Stock ready for immediate delivery ~ which clearly now was not the case.
3. They do not reply to messages very well.
NZtechfreak, I think it comes with a 3.5 plug to composite cable. (best to check..)
But there are reviews complaining it doesn't come with an hdmi cable so you'd assume they'd included a composite one...
mobilefun.co.uk is now showing as out of stock for both :-(. I suspect that they aren't being dishonest, just not keeping their stock records up to date in real time.
The MHL cable does look v cool and there are clearly hordes of eager SGS2 owners snapping them up as soon as they come available. Being a Yorkshireman, I'm waiting for the cheaper one. I hope it really is in stock in 9-14 days, I'm fed up of waiting.
I'm still narked about not getting one in the box though.

.
Yes but what about taking payment when they say they only do so when delivering.
In my case I now have to wait a minimum of three weeks after payment and that's providing they receive shipment.

That's a fair point, they shouldn't do that. It's happened to me (not with mobilefun.co.uk) and I was pretty annoyed but I'm very much inclined to assume cock-up not conspiracy as they say and I'd still say this was a symptom of poor stock records.
BTW, OTG cables can be bought on eBay for the measly sum of

Really sorry guys, if there is anything else I can do to help just let me know.
