Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
So, all the apps etc already on the phone don't get wiped out?
Well, I can't seem to get Netflix to work over 4G. I'll try it on Wifi when I get a chance.
I think someone said it, but now Netflix app loads up but doesn't play the actual videos. It tries to and then goes back to Netflix home page.. That being an app specific incompatibility I imagine we'll see updates rolling out soon. I've tweeted HTC, Netflix, and Sprint.
**Btw it's not playing over 3G, 4G, and WiFi.
Anyone else experiencing this? Defiantly don't want to loose my Netflix.
Anyone tested is it working over 3G/Wifi?
Netflix works fine over 3g and 4g, did not test wifi
Not working for me using any method. App loads, video doesn't play.
It might have been faster to just search the web for this information...
Some of the features that gingerbread is supposed to bring are:
Faster speed.
Better Android battery life
Better application management
An updated user interface (sense will overwrite that)
A new keyboard
Improved cut-and-paste
Easier file management
Better camera management
Near Field Communication (NFC) (EVO won't benefit from it - unless you get a NFC equipped microSD card)
SIP based Internet calling
Did you actually play something? Doesn't seem to work for anyone else.
When I click to check for "HTC software update", it still comes back with:
"System Upgrade 3.70.651.1 (58.11 MB) FOTA update" is available. This is the same result I've had for months.
Based on reviews here, I never downloaded or installed the 3.70x update. Will this prevent availability of an upgrade to Gingerbread now?
Didn't see it mentioned, but now if you tap in a text field (i.e. text message) you get a cursor icon that you can select and drag with a magnify glass. Very handy!
I do apologize if someone has already posted ...but here is the "official" release notes...it appears some are expecting quite a bit more that what is included in this update.

from Sprint Community: 6/3 - HTC EVO Maintenance Release -...
NETFLIX: BROKEN - Granted, only EVO 2.2 is listed as being supported - NOT 2.3.3. I even uninstalled, shut down (crashed on shut down), removed battery, inserted battery, restarted, installed Netflix, logged in, hit resume, still only plays for a second.
New keyboard or the same stock?
Now my Evo displays the Voicemail icon in the info bar. I cannot get the symbol to turn off. I have checked my voice mail, and there are no messages. I powered down, nothing,, I did a battery pull to no avail. Very weird....As for any changes,,,nothing drastic...
