Help 191 NOT an emergency number in UK

Visitor from Singapore has an Incredibls S.

Have installed a Vodafone PAYG card. Works fine.

Vodafone UK contact number is 191. But the phone dials UK emergency 999 (or 911) when I try to dial 191.

I think this may be because 191 is an emergency number in Thailand, and defaults as one in Australia.

How to stop it?

Can't find a contact entry to delete for it!

I've just experienced the same thing!

It is ultimately because I've got an Asian version of HTCs ROM installed on my phone.

If you hit this problem you will probably find that when you select the Setup option from the phone's app list (Icon of a Magic wand over a hat), that the only options you're provided with are all "English (<Asian Country>)", e.g. "English (Singapore)"

I suspect this will be built in to the ROM so I don't know if this can be changed without re-flashing the phone with a European version.

Hope this helps explain it a bit.
