I bought and really like the
1
TPU case and full screen protector (incredible deal if you like these, 3 of each for $8 with free [slow] shipping). I also really like the screen protector, it's full, including the bottom buttons, with all the top openings (proximity sensor, earpiece, front camera).

Fairly easy on/off. Thicker/tougher than silicon cases. Openings for everything but volume buttons, which instead have raised embossment for easy use.

I have dreams of altering one of these TPU cases to fit the extended battery version, by cutting out a piece in the back, and re-attaching it by gluing added pieces of some thick fabric.

Yeah I just bought a tpu case of amazon for $5 but I've been having trouble getting my screen protector to go on without bubbles all over the screen. I've tried a couple different methods

Have you tried going left to right or right to left in portrait? I.e., laying down the long edge first? After my first 20 or so bubbly installs of laying down the short edge and working from there, I saw this method on some manufacturer's site, and now my installs are much better.

Also, the paper tabs on the newer screen protectors help you avoid touching it, and the top removable thin skin allows you to be strong when pushing out the bubbles with the credit card without hurting the actual screen protector. Needless to say, it's imperative to clean the screen completely, and also helpful to do in a place without much dust (like in the bathroom after a shower).
