OK just updated the firmware as detailed in my previous post on this page.

Old details were:

Kernal version
2.6.32.9
M1100160-K11017070#1

System Version
R11017120-S11017120 FR91

Application Version
A 01017081_APP_A900J_20110708_HW

New details are:

Kernal version
2.6.32.9
M1100160-K11017070#1

System Version
R11017120-S11017120 FR91

Application Version
A01017081_APP_A9000J_20110708R_HW

The only differences are the 'R' on the end of 'Application Version' and an extra '0' in there that I can see.

There is a definite speed improvement across the board (boot up is very quick) and you can still root. No bloatware was included in this update.

Will explore a bit more!!

I, like a recent poster michael_kld, am not being able to access WiFi on my new FV-1 (bought in NZ). It seems to be in a loop turning on status that shows that WiFi is on and it connects to my WiFi (which shows as having a good signal) but then disconnects itself. This is very frustrating as it keeps doing this by searching for my network then disconnecting. I know WiFi in my house is working as I use it with my iTouch and have never had any probs...any ideas. I am new to this computer speak thing but will take all advice on board. Thanks greatly.

I'm not sure if I can, might be against the forum guidelines...

I newbie about this but... could you try putting the box in another network, for example, in a friend house? perhaps you have a problem with router configuration... (mac filter?)

sorry my english

Edit: I'm very interested about this box, only 100 euros is very cheap! Gratefully if anybody can post a review about behavior with new firmware. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for this thread. It's really usefull.

I got my FV1 last month and i'm very happy, but now i found the new models launched on AsiaPads (china), some ones support TV and this allows me to control everything from my Android TV Box. The question is, here in Spain, we just can use the digital TV now (DVB-T) and I found this model on AP:

Geniatech Enjoy TV Plus ATV2000 - Android TV - DVB-T [ AP-ATV-GT-ATV2000 ] - AsiaPads.com

The ATV2000 has DVB-T port and runs an android application for watch the digital TV from the ATV Box directly. This is good.

I bought one yesterday, but i'd like to ask you about these "Geniatech" products. Any experience here?

They have more models, but just the ATV2000 supports DVB-T

Can check the others...

Android TV Box - Tablet Pc - China Tablet PC - Wholesale Apad - AsiaPads.com

Best regards
Saludos

Just updated to the latest firmware posted on this page.
It works well but i didnt get the newer market app...

The gui seems more smooth and the biggest change is that the SDCard gets finally mounted as nativ SD Card in /sdcard or /mnt/sdcard.
With this it is finally possible to move bigger apps on the card, which is quite nice :)

PS: btw the difference in size of the firmwares (latest and those before) are because angry birds is no longer included by default...
