Which browser do you use and why?

I'm not terribly happy with any of the browsers out there and took heart in the news yesterday that Google is (finally) going to integrate their desktop Chrome browser with the Android browser:

In the meantime, what browser do you and should I use, or do you need more than one?

I only ever use Dolphin. I like the gesture controls for bookmarks.

stock web browser, after tryign many.. simplicity and clean interface over a bunch of features, for me.. not to mention its fast. faster than the others ive tried

its great to hear that a chrome browser wil be coming for android.. i still dont get why it took so long.. after their apps for maps, talk, docs, and pretty much every other service they have, i'd have thought that the browser was one of the most important

I've tried them all, and used to like Dolphin, but since going back to stock and getting over the checker board while the page is loading in, I like Stock better as it's much better, much faster and less bugs.

Yes Miren has the option to use full screen. I have tried many browsers, Miren is my fav, I hate the stock browser

So far Dolphin HD, but I haven't done enough web browsing on my phone yet to rule out that I might like one of the other options better.

On my desktop PCs I've been an Opera user for years (since version 7.50), but my initial impressions of the Opera mobile browser have been rather lukewarm.

Opera Mini for most things, Opera Mobile for flash content outside of youtube. Was using opera mini on symbian for years, so decided to stick with it when i jumped to android.

for example Dolphin browser. and btw i use it mostly, sometimes opera mobile or stock one but mostly Dolphin imho most configurable and useful browser but it`s my personal opinion...

Part of the reason I put up the poll are the problems I've been having with Dolphin and my inability to find a good alternative, namely:

a) it's been crashing rather frequently of late on me

b) I can't do certain things with it, like use the 'Search Forum' feature on this website, or scroll on up and down certain pages like www.seekingalpha.com. (In fairness to Dolphin, I don't think Firefox can do either of these things).

c) it doesn't update my login name after I previously entered it incorrectly once, so I have to manually input the correct login on this one website every time I go there. Why doesn't it recognize that I'm using a new login name? There should also be some way to clear the cache individually for a site rather than dumping all your login/passwords - is there?

d) I can't view my browsing history

c) If you go to browser settings then data storage settings you can clear data for individual websites.

the site I'm having trouble with the login is not listed for some reason. only three sites are listed, and Dolphin is autofilling way more than three sites. for example my login and PW are autofilled for android fourms, but this site is not listed.

i had the swipe right option turned off because i kept accidentally doing that when i didn't want to.

Will give this a try and report back. just tried opera mini. blazing fast but no charlierose.com, and it too just crashed on me. wondering if i should just go back to the stock browser and hope that Google gets a seamless Chrome upgrade rolled out sooner rather than later.

Stock and Opera Mobile here, occasionally Firefox.

Opera Mobile I prefer for reading, since it has dynamic reflow. Stock I prefer for quickly looking things up. Firefox I use if I want to quickly browse all my forums (best tab handling and having sync and passwords in memory just makes it better for that sometimes).

Opera Mobile. No competition in my opinion. Fast sleek and simple. I used it since I had my first smartphone 5 years ago, and preferred it over any other browser even before it used to play flash.

I've been curious about this browser for awhile but have always been put off by the fact that it went through, I believe, China Telecom and in turn the Great FireWall (GFW) with the censorship it entailed... as mentioned in this article from March this year...

"Unfortunately, the translation uses UC's Chinese proxy server and many sites including Twitter, Facebook and all Blogger sites are blocked by the "Great Firewall" (GFW). This makes the browser more of a curiosity than something that's actually usable for most people in the West."

Tried every browser, settled on Boat Browser.

Give it a try, fast, nice looking and good features without being bulky (looking at you dolphin)

I'm happy to wait the few second it takes to load a page. I'm not disagreeing that uc is faster. I just don't see the point in getting somewhere quickly if I didn't want to be there in the first place.
