Working Flash for Galaxy Ace

Hey guys most of ya know me, i wanted to share this with you. its a WORKING version of flash that has been edited by a chinese developer from xda forums.

Ive tried this and ive used m.tvcatchup.com and a few other sites work with it too sadly there are still some flash encoded sites that wont work but apparently some people are able to play facebook flash games and such.

im happy as i can now watch freeview channels on my ace while fishin!!!!!

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION-
DOWNLOAD THE APP BELOW AND SAVE IT TO YOUR SD CARD
NOW MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 'UNKNOWN SOURCES' ENABLED IN YOUR SETTINGS > APPLICATIONS
NOW OPEN ANY FILE MANGER LIKE ASTRO AND NAVIGATE TO THE APK FILE WHEREVER YOU STORED IT
JUST OPEN THE FILE AND CLICK INSTALL
NOW REBOOT THE PHONES ONCE INSTALLATION COMPLETE

( IT WON'T WORK IN OPERA MINI)

FOR BEST RESULTS USE DOLPHIN BROWSER HD

im not 100% sure, like i say some things work some dont but its not the flash lite version it is in fact the full version modded to work on arm6 processor ive also used a couple of tv on-demand apps that didnt work before i installed this. i think spb tv needs flash right? that works now

Flashplayer from the market can play downloaded FLV's. as for this flash version installed it on my ACE (2.3.4) cound'nt find a site that would work. I think it doesn't work with embedded flash. Only videos and Flashplayer within a website.

This could come down to different browsers... the stock browser some sites report missing plugin. OPera the same. Dolphin & Dolphin HD most i tried do actually work. No sign of iplayer working or any on demand tv

yeah the tv catchup works but didnt before, and yeah like i say in the original top post it mainly works with dolphin browser.

i did also say its temperamental, but for the fact that some flash things work now that wouldnt work before deserves a thumbs up.

sadly bbciplayer gets further to installing but will still not work, and this is not the flash lite version that was posted a while back.


and look i am now watching this flash video on my device ......so it IS WORKING

like the guy above says it probably wont work with most flash games websites but has been reported to work with a few facebook games.... so try it works for you yay if it doesnt you havent lost anything you never had anyway. lol

could not upgrade to 2.3.4 through kies. bought the phone in singapore but i am in india. don't know if failure to upgrade is because of where i bought it

flash is not supposed to run on the galaxy ace you guys dont seem to realise THIS IS the closest we will get the full flash on the ace until next year when adobe do release the arm6 flash player....

To clarrify, in pretty much every instance of flash on your phone it's the adobe flash plugin that is doing the work. You can switch browsers and so on, but they all draw on adobe to play it.

So since your phone can't run the normal adobe flash app, you would normally be sunk. But if you install the edited version of adobe's app, you can watch flash videos no matter which browser you use or firmware version you run.

I don't know if that holds true for video apps like rockplayer, they may have their own flash codecs, but it's the case for browsers.

??? eh? seriously. i dont get how thats possible, can anyone clarify that that video is in flash? i just checked again and im pretty sure it is. and that shouldnt work as standard? that is wierd

I never installed any flash or flash lite. Usually I test the flash by YouTube website.

Does not work. The video demonstrated works without flash.

The video did not work for me without flash using the default browser. Installed the 10.1 and it WORKS!! Haha.. thanks! I think some people say it works becoz of regional differences in the devices or something. I get the South Asia version - namely Sri Lankan. And it did not play the video. But now it does!!
