Have a Droid X Stuck in a boot loop. I have tried sbf'ing using rsd and keep getting error messages. I have the 3004 boot loader and all new drivers installed on PC running XP. I have tried the newest SBF and older ones. None of them work. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you need to format data (factory reset). You'll need to get into the stock recovery.

Turn it off.

Press power + home button to get into recovery, then press both vol buttons at the same time to get the menu.

Use vol buttons to highlight factory reset, then press power button.

I have tried that. It is almost like I lost root access. I do not see a spot for recovery. I have wiped data and factory reset. Still stuck in boot loop

How long did your SBF take? I know the 2 times I used RSD it said 100% after only about a minute, stalled for 30 seconds, then continued for 5 to 10 minutes. When it finished, it still hung at 100% but the progress stopped changing. I also had to do a factory reset the 1st time to get out of a bootloop. The last time I did it, no problems.

Just checking to make sure you aren't disconnecting too early.

I am actually getting a failed message in rsd. And now, I can't even access the bootloader. I have a spare battery, hopefully I can put that in and get everything to work again. Thanks for the suggestions.

Where did you get the SBF from?
Here is a page I used: Droid X SBF Files
They even have the .602 SBF up there.

One more thing, when using a SBF, be sure to check the MD5 checksum before using the file. It's rare, but if the download has an error, it could brick your phone. I use this one: MD5 Checksum Calc Just put in the checksum provided and point to the file on your hard drive and a few seconds later the file is verified.

I successfully sbf'ed to .602 with rsd lite 4.9 but texting was not working. Then tried .340 and text still did not work. So i did factory reset and text still was not working.

Upgraded to rsd 5.4.4 and tried to flash .602 and it completed but got an error at the end. Left the phone in bootloader by mistake overnight with the error now phone won't boot up.

Any suggestions?
