note--normal battery not extended.

also--- it seemed that maps was using a significant amnt of battery, altho i never used them for gps, not once. so its the system running it? either way.....

Wow that's amazing..I have to charge my phone 5 times to get it to last that long :p

but not really lol..I'm on Forever 1.06 and it has been unplugged for 10 hours and 2 minutes and I still have 52% remaining. So thats pretty good, but no where near what you got...I think I may have to switch ROM's here shortly LOL

what kernel you using? also are you using any battery saving apps or settings?

@jivens, im not a HEAVY user, so the results might be a bit altered for some. texting all day, occasional internet, espn apps, phone calls, email most of the day is what i usually use. is "forever" a bamf rom? i never got as good as battery life with those, my opinion is that bamf rom, almost 400 MB, uses way more cpu and everything than most aosp, blacksource is like 98 MB. *highly recommended*!

@yellow-- its the standard kernel for blacksource. i dont mess with them much. "tiamat_mecha 1.1.3". im not using any task killer or any battery saver at at all. IMO the biggest battery saver... DISPLAY! i usually have mine between 0-25% brightness (not a fan of auto). rarely higher. i think it really does the trick. anything more than that for most of the day, it drains a lot faster. if im sitting in class, i dont need anything more that 0% brightness. i can see it just fine. its necessary if its sunny out for txting etc, but i just usually use my phone when i have a min to find some shade. im telliin ya, brightness!! haha good luck! btw Roms - Downloads - TH3ORYROM

DL and flash it now!

Yeah Forever is BAMF..I'm just really diggin Sense 3.0 ROM's right now. But I plan on trying out and AOSP here shortly. It's either going to be CM7 or blacksource, I have yet to decide

Yes, battery drain on 4G is crazy. But how far away from either a car charger, wall charger or USB cord are you during the day? I have about 6 usb cords almost everywhere I look and a spare battery if I'm camping. I use 4G whenever I can and whenever I'm away from wifi. I also have found that those last few percentages will last a very long time. In emergency turn off data so you can receive phone calls and text, the battery will last days.

Bottom line for me is I don't look at the battery stats to regulate my usage, and I use the phone as if I had unlimited time left. But I do understand your concerns.

battery life is all subjective.
i take absolutely ZERO precautions to conserve battery, auto sync on, auto brightness, 4G all day long, constantly checking ect. i got 8.5 hours of 100% 4G yesterday on sense 3.5 ROM. i just dont see the point to having over 15 hours of battery a day. i take my phone off the charger at 7am, i am at work all day next to a PC, i have a car charger, a desktop dock. i mean, how do you not charge your phone at night? why NOT do this?
with my available chargers, and my extra battery (total of $20 spent) i have no reason to get more than 15 hours a day. but thats just me...i am not a party boy staying awake for over 24 hours at a time.

I'm not on my phone, using 4G the entire day. I do have the web at work, (more or less). My light/moderate use will get me close to 55% after 12hrs off the charger.
I am using the kernel (Tiamat 1.1.3) that came with BlackSourc3.
OC to 1.2 on SmartAssV2, and UV -25.
4 SiMi Folder widgets and 1 mClock Widget.
4G Force is strong with me all the time. Except for those times when VZW network fails.

No Facebook/Social crap. Hate it
No push email/anything. Don't care for it.
No background updates . Don't want my phone to do things without me knowing about it.

NOTE: When I was not rooted, 50% after 12hrs work day is normal. So having the same stats for a rooted phone using custom ROM is "slightly" disappointing.

My use is 3g only..

one of the reasons I like to conserve battery i so that I dont have to juice it all night. i can keep it high and just charge it sometime throughout the next day.

i dont have many wigets on my homescreen, but im not sure how much of a difference that would make for me.

What are you guys doing/using to get such great battery life? Surely it has to be more than just a ROM with stock kernel right?

- Do you guys have almost no apps/widgets on homescreen?
- Juice Dedfender or other app?
- custom cpu settings? kernel?

Whats your secret because those are some insane battery stats?!

i only have one home screen right now, no task killer (altho blacksurce had one built it but i cant find the setting anymore).

CPU- min 275ish MAX- 806 if im not doing much. otherwise 1000ish if im doing something intensive.

undervolt thru vipermod to 775, thats what i on, not sure if it can go lower w/o problems

What matters the most for me...is the AWAKE TIME. I mean isnt that what counts? If I really wanted to, I can make my phone last that long too...just dont use it that much. But wouldn't that defeat the purpose of having a 4g smartphone? If you cant use to its fullest then whats the point? I have my 4g on with GPS, WIFI and BT toggle always on..use it alot for web browsing, texting, emailing, gaming and youtubing. I can usually get about 6.5 of awake time and like range of UP TIME is around 10-13 hrs.

I use all of those things as well, but I don't rely on my phone for everything.. I have a laptop that is perfect for all my web browsing needs. If I need to look something up quick, than that's what the phone is for IMO.....Either way, getting that long of a charge on one batter life is still amazing, and that's exactly why I'm using an AOSP ROM :) we all have different needs and likes, and that is definitely mine
