Metro PCS has 3G now!!!

So I pushed the 3023 PRL via QPST and I've been getting 3G from New Port Richey down to St Pete traveling on 19. Also from NPR to Lakeland pretty steadily as well. Its a helluva lot faster in Tampa though. Noticeably faster. Killing the hell out of my battery though.

Try 3022. I live in farmington and work downtown it will switch everynow and then on this prl. Very spotty though. I got nothing on 3023. Might try 3024. By the way I saw shinyside asked someone to share it. I saw it in the LG esteem forum I can't post it I'm on my phone.
 
Yeah I got it and posted it. I found a guy in the Optimus forum willing to share it. I posted it in the Admire forum too.

what prl are you on, i know with 3g depending on the area your in you will get that alot since 3g is spotty, i had to put my ascend back to prl 3019, but as long as i was around my area it worked on 3g.

Allow me to quote the important key words from it.

By the way 0.25mbps is roughly 100-200 kbps or 20-30 KB/s give or take.

Use the stock Metro ROM if you want fast 3G speeds! The CM ROMS are garbage when it comes to that for some odd reason. You will have to sacrifice the faster ROM, so it's almost a lose-lose situation.

You sure that its the ROM?
Towards other users can you guys try this method as he stated.
I can't since i never have the time to, im using the Phan app
 
it depends on your area and the towers they connected to, i ran test on cm6/7 and stock 2.2 with 3g all work good until i leave around my area they its spotty and you get little to none internet. Dont know where he got that from, and also the roms are not garbage and that might just have been his phone but every ascend is different in there on ways. ;)

I tested this with two Ascend phones.

If you have 3G on your Ascend and are using CM6 or CM7, please go to My 3G Speed | Test my iPhone, Pre, Storm speed, 3G Speed Test (my3gspeed.com)and test your 3G speed from you phone. I will praise you if you are able to get anything above 0.25 mbps for down stream while on a CM ROM.
 
confirming 3g in detroit mich updated my prl to 3025 and after a reboot 3g icon was there noticeable speed difference um took me forever to figure out which method to use to get the 3025 prl im still a noob at this but got it so once again thanks to every one for there help
