Hi there

I got this droid charge not long ago and my friend help me rooted my phone, so after root, it is faster but bettery sucks and update keeps poping up. so i just want to ask you smart people.

1. what happen if i accept the pop up update i510.EEE4 ? will it break my phone ?

2. If it will break my phone to accept the update since my phone is rooted, what can i do to stop the pop up update "i510.EE4" ?

You wouldn't be able to accept the update because you are rooted

While a bit of a pain, I would suggest using odin to flash an EE4 based ROM.

Its funny that you tell me things like i would understand.
I'm not a tech person and i have no idea what is odin or use it to flash an EE4 base rom.

what about this, can i just reset everything back to stock ?
anyway of doing it ?

What did you use as a rom choice? Battery life for myself easily doubled after rooting. Also before you did all this were you bone stock or did you have the phone long enough stock to DL the EE4 update already?

Or are you just straight up rooted and not romed? I know you don't understand this but ask your friend lol.

The EE4 update with patch your phone and take you back to stock. Other than not being rooted, it is likely you will notice no difference.

To help you understand getting "rooted" gives you access to the whole phone file system vs the normal blocks that are there. A flaw is found and exploited. This is used to give users root. Once rooted you can add software you normally would not be able to.

2. If it will break my phone to accept the update since my phone is rooted, what can i do to stop the pop up update "i510.EE4" ?

It will NOT break the phone. In verizons eyes the updatee fixes the phone and stops your freedom to use software of your choice. To stop it you must go into the file system and delete specific files(dont!) or pick out a "ROM" that looks good and use it. A "ROM" is simply another term for operating system like windows. If someone took windows and fixed it up to have special graphics, run better, and do neat things that would be a "ROM". People out there called "devs" (short for developer) take the android system on your phone and do just that. They release those as "ROMS". Some work better than others.

Hope that helps.
You can watch my videos for more info on how to do this stuff. The phone out of the box is only using about half its potential. Battery life, speed, tethering are all done through rooting and ROMing.
