GSM Galaxy Nexus release in the US?

Anyone know if they are planning to release the GSM version of the Galaxy Nexus in the US?

If so, any rumors as to when we'll see it?

Verizon has a timed exclusive, apparently. No one knows how long.

However, Bell has a 30-day exclusive in Canada. I assume it will be something similar in the US.

In short, the earliest I'd expect it in the US is January 2012.

We can only hope! If it takes any longer than that I might just hold out for a device with Kal-El. But I probably won't because, I swore I would only buy Nexus Devices from now on. (Having the latest software, has shown me that it's much more important than the latest hardware.)

Let's just hope it's here by January, I don't want to have to import this sexy beast.

It's for Google Music, not the Nexus.

Google will be offering some sort of subscription streaming/carrier billing option to Google Music -- and T-Mobile is the launch partner.

That said, they will likely demo the new Google Music app on a Nexus device. If they use the Galaxy Nexus running on T-Mobile's network, that will be a good sign for us.

If they opt for the Nexus S instead, that would be bad news for us.

based on the fact that tmo has a big sale going on the 19th through black friday.. all smartphones on sale for basically free kind of solidifies no nexus in the near future

I love seeing people constantly speak of rumors as if they were concrete facts.
Proof of Verizon having a "timed exclusive" please?
Proof that the Event tomorrow 100% won't have a single word uttered about the Nexus?

Edit: btw that Magenta Saturday sale that Tmo is having only applies to a handful of select phones, so the Nexus wouldn't be selling for $50 no matter what.

I went to my local Tmobile store and inquired as to when they might get the Galaxy Nexus. The manager told me that Tmobile was not going to get this phone in their stores but it would be sold at Best Buy at some point. I then went to Best Buy to ask them and of course they knew nothing about it.

Has anyone else here asked Tmobile about the GN, and if so, what were YOU told?

I just hope that when it comes to the USA, they don't disable any of the GSM bands.

There has been some stuff going on with AT&T asking their customers if they would like the Galaxy Nexus, so I think it is only a matter of time.

T mobile, AT&T, or Sprint... whichever gets it first I will be getting it as I have all 3.
