I just would like to hear what kind of battery life people are getting. Also what are you using to get it.

My current set-up is: Mik3D(ROM) with GoldenMonkey 1.1(Kernel) running V6 Superharger V9 w/option#9, SetCpu is set for Conservative scaling with max 1036800 MHz/ min 245000 MHz

I get about 6 hrs before it drops below 20% on a stock battery. Running 4G and Wifi tether the whole time, making a few calls and listening to some tunes.

So what kind of life are ya'll getting?? I would like to hear about it.

Things that stay the same..... Aggressive Freedom, SetCPU settings of 1113max 128 min, 428 max screen off profile, stock battery, intermittant GPS, no 4G, data always on

TommyTomatoes Classic........Full 2Days if wifi is available.

MikG ......40 hours if wifi is available

Without wifi it drops down to about 18-24 hours with my normal usage.

try the freedom kernels. you will have more options for governors to choose from. i would try smartass or interactive x and they both have screen off profiles. start with the aggressive freedom and work your way down the list. give it a few days for the kernel to settle in before deciding to move on.

and yes do not run 4g unless you need it. i also keep my 3g off as well. i have toggles setup on my homescreen for them. with them off, i can get 30-36 hours off charge with pretty heavy usage. and that is with cm7/tiamat sbc kernel combo.

I will just point out before I type anything else I do have an extended battery. It's either 2150 or 2600 mah. I'm not sure which.

On my main phone rom it is set at 998 max and 652 min with conservative governer. With all data on, Gtalk signed in, Latitudes running, Weather updated every 1/2 hour. Gmail always syncing. I'm also playing Words with 6 or 7 people every day.

I have gone 32 hours easily. That 2 full days and one night being on.

I've gotten the same with Tommy Tomatoe running from a slot of Boot Manager. That one uses Chop Suey 9.2.6 on Conservative, 499 min and 998 max.

So I am probably in the 16-18 hour range with a stock battery. Depending of course on what battery I actually have.

It's an HTC battery that was listed at 2150 when I bought it but it's the exact same size as Sprints 2600 that is sold for the EVO.

True that andy, I only care for when I am going to be out and about, which isn't to much. Most times I am 2 or 3 different spots and I can plug in no big deal and at those spots I have 4G and I use it constantly. I have notice that even when not using 4G and I am on the go my battery life still wasnt very good even with minimal usage.

Tried some things today and actually got 9hrs about 4 of those with 4G and wireless tether running.

I have a stock battery and here is my setup depending on whether or not I'm running Sense or AOSP

Sense
More Freedom kernel, interactiveX, 256/768 I get about 15 hours of heavy use. I would equate that to about 3 hours of screen time and a couple hours of music. Wifi obviously helps and I remember one day where I had about 7 hours of "awake" time before my phone needed a charge.

AOSP
Almost always run Tiamat 3.3.7 with the Smartass governor. 256/768 as my clock speeds and that's it. I'd say with this setup I can make it maybe 18 hours with my regular usage, which would get me about 3 and a half hours of screen time or so. It's just really hard to say.

Time off charger really isn't important for me. Most kernels, even stock, will allow your phone to sleep without losing much power. It's important to make sure you don't have 15 apps syncing every hour and draining power unnecessarily, or leaving 4G on when you're not using it, or leaving wifi turned on when you know you're not in a spot where you can get wifi. The true test of a kernel is how much awake/screen time you can get out of it. I could probably let me phone sit for a week in airplane mode and never turn my screen on without it losing a whole lot of power, but so what? Battery life only matters if you're using your phone.

18-24 hours. mikg rom and stock kernel, setcpu 998max 245min. I almost never run 4G, 3G always on, gmail syncs constantly, wifi a couple of awake hours, rarely use GPS or bluetooth.

I used to get 30+ before rooting. I'll try a new kernel eventually.

Sleep time is pretty good but screen time is horrendous. My battery usage graph looks a cliff. It goes from flatlined when not being used to straight through the floor if I'm on it quite a bit.

18+hrs easy, not sure how long before it dies as I'm never away from a charger longer than that. I'm running MIUI w/tiamat SBC 3.3.7. I don't really know how much I have left at the end of the day since I use the thin bar in the status bar vs percentage now. I just got back on the charger, and its been mostly off the charger since 730am, and its still over half life left. Light to moderate use, including logmein for a few server fixes, Facebook, texts, 2-3 calls or so, and I'm still not low on battery after 17 or 18hrs. Using SetCPU with 1113/245 main, 384/245 screenoff, and smartass governor.

I'm running mikg and apparently I cant do that as a widget but it is in the quick settings. Can you still receive texts with 3G off? I may leave it off as long as I can still get texts.

Yes. You may send/receive SMS w/ data turned off. You will need to turn it on to send/receive MMS though.

Wow, unbelievable difference in battery life with 3G off! Everyone should have it turned off! I'm at 18 hours off the charger with 75% remaining! Let's see how long it takes to kill it. I just set up a screen off profile in setcpu also, so that should help as well.

Sounds about right ;). Also turn off "Auto-Sync" and "Auto-Screen Brightness" (I keep mine at about 40%) if you haven't already. This will also help your battery.

I will actually probably keep Auto-Sync on for now, but I have never used auto screen brightness since day 1. I usually keep it at 0-25% in low light conditions, and I also use the screen filter app in the pitch black (in bed). Other than that I never have it above 50% unless it's super bright outside.
