hey guys i just wanted to start a new thread to track some feedback on using ROMS, MODS, THEMES on the T-Mobile SGH-T989 Samsung Galaxy S II, and see which ones perform the best, look the best, etc.. and maybe even compare and contrast why we like one better than another

oh, and just as a friendly reminder if you haven't bothered ROOTING your phone yet and haven't actually installed and tested any of these roms yet, don't bother posting your "opinions" about them

also it seems the best way to get clockword mod is to download it through Rom Manager, which you can download through the android market

or here is a fancy version if you prefer [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod TOUCH

so i decided to remove all dates and version numbers from the links because i'm not going to change the text everytime they update their thread, the link will be current and that is all that matters, so don't worry about it being out of date

if however some stuff does become obsolete or unsupported feel free to let me know and i'll drop it

also this ClockworkMOD will probably help

I have tried the link in that thread several times before and it has never worked for me.

I've been thinking of trying DARKSIDE DIGITAL WARFARE. I have CWM 5.0.2.6. He recommends ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7. I searched for an hour and couldn't find it. Someone finally gave me a link for it in ROM Manager. I used ROM Manager, for the 1st time ever, and it was fast and painless to install 5.0.2.7.

Or, you can get the .img file here.

Has anyone tried Slayher's CyanogenMod 7 on the xda forum? I'm running it now but have come across an issue with the internal and external storage cards not being recognized (it's only recognizing one at a time). I couldn't find any solutions on the forum.

i briefly tried it out a while back but noticed it was a little buggy and then switched back to juggernaut

sorry i don't know about any other resources other than xda, good luck, lemme know what ya find
