System update - 2.33.161.6

My phone is telling me this update 2.33.161.6 is available. Anyone any experiance of this update or what is gives?

Strange - there's just been a recent thread discussing a (lower numbered) s/w update HERE. I updated to that one and have not received anything since.

It appears that there were some glitches in the Calendar syncing - maybe this is another update to overcome those - but it is not appearing on my phone.

x.xx.161.x is vodafone, so only vodafone branded handsets will get this. x.xx.405.x is unbranded so all non branded handsets get that.

As to what is in the vodafone update compared to the unbramded one is anyones guess.

Yeh I saw this update mentioned on the forum, but I didn't get this update. Maybe this is the vodafone version pf the update you mention?

I'm gonna go for it, so watch this space!

I am running a stock un-rooted Desire on Vodafone UK. I have had no problems (so far) after this upgrade.

It took my phone from Android V2.2 to V2.2.2.

I have not noticed any obvious new features with this release.

You must have 25Mb Free memory to install this update. (I temporarily uninstalled Google maps and flash to free the memory needed. Then reinstalled them after the update.)

I've installed this update now with a) no obvious adverse effects and b) no obvious changes to the functioning of the phone. It's now v2.2.2.
