Root Help - Just flashed MIUI Rom and now phone is stuck in boot loop

I just Flashed the MIUI Rom and now my phone won't boot. It just keeps looping the boot animation and then after about 3min. it restarts and does the same thing.

did you change the boot animation with a theme? if so this happens often with miui you could try reflashing the rom without wiping anything should fix the system and keep your settings, data, and apps intact

^^^^^if this fails you will probably need to restore a backup or go back to stock then reflash miui

Thanks, I will try that. I never got into MIUI so I was never able to theme it. Since I was never able even to get past the looping animations is it possible that reflashing the rom will provide a different result?

Unfortunately, I have yet to see a reflash of the rom fix the problem of a boot animation causing a boot loop.

I posted about my adventure with this last night here: http://androidforums.com/triumph-al...h-113011-2-gb-2-3-7-based-36.html#post3735413

Did you read up, did you manually install clockworkmod version 5.0.2.6+? Get the correct CMR you need, then make sure the miui rom zip is on the base of your sd card, factory data reset, wipe dalvik cache, and then since its clean, make a backup. Then install that miui zip, reboot. Should be working. were you completely stock before you began this? I also find after a new rom install, let ur phone battery die till it shuts off, charge to 100% then go into CMR and wipe battery stats, and dalvik cache. prepare for an everyday i phone killa, punks use my free wifi all day lolz
