Root nandroid backup

After flashing a new ROM will my nandroid backup bring back my contacts and other stuff? or will this also bring back the stock rom?

this will bring back your rom. as far as contacts go, they should be ported under google so that when you flash a new rom (or even when you upgarde) you can then sync with google when you sign in and your contacts will be ported over.

as far as apps go, i would use titanium backup to backup and restore your apps and it's data.

I may have lost the phone contacts that weren't through Google. I did notice that my Nandroid is gone even though I was sure not to wipe the SD, call me crazy but i seems like the SD got wiped. Actually its acting like it can't access the SD. Should I manually replace contents that i saved on my computer?

First I would check the sdcard even if it got wiped you should still new able to read/write to the disk. Make sure it's mounted also. If it's working you can format the card then drag and drop your backups.

Its mounted and the only backup option i can see is an earlier one with clockworkmod. Even when i hook it to my laptop all my stuff is gone except for a few folders from the new ROM. Should I reinstall the sd stuff i saved to my computer? Unfortunately that doesn't include my last nandroid before i flashed :(

That's a bummer, seems like your sd card was in fact wiped.
I assume you are on amon-ra now, you could flash the new amon-ra style recovery, it'll flash your old clockwork nandroids.
Then you could restore your original nandroid, sync your contacts to your Google account, or go under the people app / menu / import/export contacts, export to sd.
Then you can flash your new Rom or nandroid back and either sync with Google and the contacts will download, or open the people app go to import/export and import from sd. You'll have your contacts back. :)

Oops, I didn't see the post about the sd issues.
I would format the card since you did in fact backup all your stuff to your pc. Good job there. ;)
Your original nandroid will have all of your contacts up until you made the backup.
Good rule of thumb for root users is to save all contacts under your Gmail account, so you'll never loose em when flashing back and forth. :)

I'm just gonna move forward and not worry about it but, should I move all the sd stuff I saved or just some things? Titanium Backup is there or should I just reinstall TB from the market? In TB all I want is apps, no system stuff, correct?

Correct, I would only restore data from market apps and not system apps
