screen replacement

i asked the question recently but didnt get much response so am asking again.

anyone know where in london or the uk I can get the screen replaced for my N1 as its smashed?

Personally I'd DIY it, I have a 'phone repair' tool kit and looking at a tear down it doesn't look that difficult.

Reckon the hardest bit would be violating the warranty void sticker lmao

Nah, people have been reporting that they've had HTC repair/replace under warranty phones that have been rooted. As long as it's a hardware fault, they'll sort it, so dodgy touch screens, rubbish batteries, dust under screen etc will all be fixed free of charge rooted or otherwise.

I run an iPhone/iPod repair shop so DIY is no problem for me. Already stripped my Nexus One to its core, smiled, and put it back together many times over lol.
You do have to know what you're doing to carry off a successful swap though. Otherwise you can end up with more broken parts, dust between the LCD + screen or worse!

Without advertising anything, if anyone needs it done I can get it done I'm sourcing more and more spare parts as the weeks go on.

perhaps they would, but i've replaced the screen myself, as i did before with my iphone, and as i did for a friend with his voyager. people tend to be intimidated because they are touchscreens, but really, they are very simple and straight forward. nothing scary at all.

I have to same problem with my Eris. Where can I get the info and materials to fix it. Under water wasnt a problem for it but it didn't like jumping off the top of the car.

Maybe Mission Repair. I would image they would ship to the UK but I am not sure if they do fixes on the Nexus One yet.

I believe if you youtube for the instruction, you should find it. Visual/Audio instructions are always the best
