HI, just wondering if anyone can offer up any help with a charing issue, i recently brought a flytouch 3 a few days ago and although it has been one problem after another, the worse happened today when i went to charge it and the pin came of the charger adapter, so i can not charge it ( or even use it now).. is there any other way to charge the tablet? or am i best to just order a new adapter.. im also worried the internal charger but might be damaged.. so can i charge usb to the computer ?? or would a charging mat work ? where you just lay the device on one of those chargin mats for it to charge? any help would be great ??
thankyou

You have to charge it using the power socket, you cannot charge if from USB or any other method. Do you mean the plug on the end of the wire broke or the pin broke off the socket inside the FT3?
If it is the plug then you could test the power supply to see if there is still the required voltage on the wires (cut the broken plug off) and if it appears to be ok you could just buy a replacement plug (Maplins DC Plug 0.7mm/2.5mm Order Code: L43AY, or search ebay for '0.7mm power plug').Check the polarity before soldering it on...it should be posative centre. If your soldering is not up to the task then look at the label on your old, broken charger and note if it is 5 volts or 9 volts so you know which replacement FT3 charger you need, and again, I suggest you look on ebay.

thankyou for your help , its the actual pin on the adapter just came of as i removed the charger from the tablet, i was able to pull out the pin from the tablet..
In regards to charging is there any reason it would charge on one of those powermats you can buy where you just lay the device on top of it ??

There isn't a pin in the mains adapter...if you look in the power socket on the tablet you should see the pin. I can't see a powermat working on a tablet...especially if you have a 7.4 volt version. Your average phone sinks under half an amp charging while your FT3 requires three to four times that. If it did work it would take 4 days to charge from flat, besides, you will never find a 'receiver case' for a FT3 so you would have to use the universal base...which requires plugging in to the tablet so you are not saving anything.
