Can't pin Catch note to home screen in Liberty

I'm running Liberty 3 and loving it. Only one oddity has surfaced - I used to have a particular Catch note pinned to my home screen so that I could access that note with a single tap. Now that I'm on Liberty, that doesn't work. When I tap on the home screen shortcut it brings up Catch just fine, but it brings me to the last thing I was viewing (the last note open, the list of notes, etc.)...not the specific note I want to access every time. I have conferred with Catch support, and they said that the functionality should still be in the app.

Bottom line: when I long-press on the note that I want to pin (from inside Catch), the option for pinning it to the home screen simply isn't there. Any ideas on what the breakdown is or how to correct it? More an annoyance than a critical problem, but I thought I'd toss the question out there.

do you have blur installed?

i take it this is an app from the market, well you did the correct thing first, by contacting catch, since it doesnt appear to be a fault with them, it would be best to find another user with a dx and any other rom installed and both of you run tests to see if its liberty in general, then you should be able to find out. it could be liberty not playing well. may need to clear data in the catch note, by manage applications.

I don't believe Liberty uses Blur, but I'm not 100% certain. Yes, Catch is available from the Market and is similar to Evernote (morphed out of the old AK Notepad, I think) and is a general note/pic/etc. sync app. As you suggest, if any other DX users are experiencing this same problem with Catch, I'd love to hear about it.

I just wiped the data and cache from the app, then uninstalled it and reinstalled it - no change. Looks like I might have to head back to Evernote unless someone else has another suggestion...

I use AK Notepad (just a stripped-down version of Catch) and the pin to home screen function works fine for me on Liberty3 v2.0. If you don't use all of the functionality of Catch, you might try switching. All of your notes will show up automatically.

liberty has blur removed, but you can reinstall it via liberty customizer. what ylexot says is a good idea, if it is the same thing, you could try that, if its not up to your standards, ask him to try the same thing you have and see if the problem is something to do with the liberty code.

Ok, so I installed Catch and found the same thing...no option to pin to home screen. However, if you really like the functions of Catch, I was able to create a note in Catch, sync it with the server, bring up and sync AK Notepad, and then use AK to pin the note to the home screen. It's not elegant, but it works.

thank you for doing that to verify what his issue is ylexot, you are a great asset to the DX community, now to the matter at hand, what you can do is send a message to kejar on twitter, and ask him if he wouldnt mind trying it, but i dont really know if he will. it seems to be something in the code of liberty is not playing well with that type of app.

Ok, so I installed Catch and found the same thing...no option to pin to home screen. However, if you really like the functions of Catch, I was able to create a note in Catch, sync it with the server, bring up and sync AK Notepad, and then use AK to pin the note to the home screen. It's not elegant, but it works.

Thanks for your help in testing this out! I'll give your AK Notepad suggestion a shot, too.

FYI...AK Notepad works fine on mine, too. Must be something peculiar about Catch on Liberty. No biggie, though, as long as I have something that works and is sync'd up, I'm good. Thanks again for all your help!

I'm running Apex 2.0 RC4 and the pin to home screen option works fine in Catch. What version of Catch are you running? Mine is 4.5.3. You might want to delete the Catch app and reinstall. Make sure your notes are synced first and you'll get everything back after the reinstall.

When I long press a note from within Catch, there are 7 options that come up and the Pin to home screen is the last one listed. Is it possible that you need to scroll to see the option?

When I verified the issue, I had a fresh install from the Market. I tried scrolling the menu, but all of the options were on the screen (it didn't scroll).
