I was stock (Just got the phone today), just rooted and got CWM installed and did a backup. Did a clean wipe and got the boot loop. When you say "forever" how long did it take?

i couldnt tell you for certain down to the minute...and i have been flashing alot in the past week, but to me the first boot seems to take a lil longer then usual..granted your doing a clean wipe and it takes time to rebuild the dalvik..my whole point is i just didnt want you to yank the battery after a minute or two, the first boot of any rom takes a few..i would deffinetly wait atleast 5 to 7 minutes being safe...
but you are deffinetly gonna need to partition your sd if you havent yet..once you have done that, try redownloading the rom incase you happen to get a flawed download somehow..once you finish downloading then reflash

Yeah, it wasn't just this ROM, my backup of the stock ROM was corrupted. I even tried to download/flash another ROM and it bootlooped. Wiped 3 times. Finally, I just unrooted and went back to stock and it's working. Don't think I'll mess w/this one anymore. It was a refurb

I'm trying your ROM now... yea its not your everyday use... but it looks pretty cool... my browser works crappy.. I can't get a page display but my tapatalk i s twerking 
and I'm able to post a msg....
I am use an sd ext4 card freshly did everything.. its definitley kinda jittery but I kinda like that glitchy theme

I like it so far. The camera isnt working but thats already known lol. I had a problem when I first flashed it but I then totally cleared my SD card, odined back to FA19, flashed to CTmod 3.3, partitioned, and then Flashed it to CM9. Took a bit to get it going but now its running fine

if i could get someone to test something for me...atleast untill i can get home from work today and start flashing different scenerios and see if i can re create some problems some users are having..i am gonna post the same build same changes but with stock kernel tonight and i think think that will fix the problem with users getting the encryption message..
-if someone could backup their current build..save a copy of their sd/backups to the pc/a good backup that doesnt have any issues with restoring
-completely wipe their sd through settings/storage/erase sd
-Odin back to rooted stock EJ06 baseband
-From their partition sd again and reflash the version in the op

try using chrome instead of stock browser..its much smoother and pinch and zoom works unlike stock browser..i wanted to get rid of stock browser but i didnt want to take to much away from hroarks original build..its just a lil to choppy slow and annoying the way the stock browser stands

i flashed to and from sevral different roms..including cm7..ctmod..never had an issue with other backups getting corupted and not restoring..i have been flashing back and forth from different backups sevral times a night..if you wanna give it another shot backup your sd with a good backup to your pc incase it happens again..odin to ej06 baseband..partition your sd this time..before flashing cm9..then do full wipe..and flash cm9..if it dont work restore your known working backup

I'm probably going to buy one for myself. I bought this one for my wife and just got it yesterday and she was happy to have a decent phone again. We both had EVOs but got out of our Sprint contracts and went ppd and got some cheap tracfones to get us by. Anyways, she was practicing w/it (small screen compared to EVO) and put it away for work today. Here I come rooting and flashing it and by midnight I was sweating. I had to use the method in the other thread to bring it back to stock. She would've been pissed if she didn't have that phone working today.

Odin sure does take the stress out of modding... (at least for me) i know i wouldn't be as brave without it (or cwm, for that matter)

know watcha mean Vincent. I've been flashing mods and kernels all morning without Odin (No wire) and it's making me very nervous but no problems so far Unfortunately 4.0 doesn't seem to wanna work for my phone right now due to the darn permission errors. Oh well, back to cm7

Yeah, I like the odin method to unroot. Saved my butt. If they had something like that for the EVO, I would've rooted my EVO earlier.

yeah bro your free to mod the hell out of this phone...youd have to really screw your phone up for odin not to work..and even then who knows..as long as you can get that badboy into download mode your golden

-Got rid of stock browser, use google chrome..after first boot drag icon to dock
-Still messing with music, got rid of stock music player, Added PowerAmp but it still has some forcecloses, convert it from system/app to data/app..Googles music player works flawless for me try that
-Updated Apex Launcher, You may get one Fc after very first REboot, otherwise working good
-Buildprop edits for graphics and 3g, no need for 3g Turbochager
-Link2sd is working now, use this to move apps and data to sd, if anyone needs help setting this up pm me
-Added Gapps.zip to OP with, Gmail

You need to partition have a ext4 partition on your sd card for this rom to work for now...

poweramp wasnt ment to be a long standing part..it forcecloses way to much.it worked much better before i updated apex..i just thought it was bad ass and wanted to see what other people thought.if anyone knows of a better music player that works..let me know
