A 3.7-inch LCD screen, single-core 1GHz processor and 512MB of RAM, non-removable 1500mAh battery.. I would say in my own opinion your still ahead :)

might wanna look into what phone your talking about,

quad core 1.5ghz
1gb ram
4.7inch SuperIPS LCD2
720p resolution
32GB built in onboard storage (i believe an additional 25GB via dropbox but that number could be wrong)
dual band wireless n
8MP camera

the camera alone is an amazing improvement, you can do a burst machine gun of stills, you can do 1080p video and take pictures while you do video.

so his dad got a super awesome phone, as it is my wife wants the evo lte (sprints variant)

Yeah but the att variant has a dual core 1.5 ghz s4 chip but stull that insanley faster... and I was using the burst shot feature and it was amazing... I believe your thinking of the one v

The HTC One X is a nice phone but from what I hear the battery doesn't overheat. My Connect never lets me down on the cold days here in Michigan all I have to do is play angry birds on my Connect for a few minutes and then I have an instant hand warmer! What more can you ask from a phone. lol

yes the US variants will have the s4 chipset with a15 cores which are insanely faster than the s3 found in the connect. (no where near the tegra 3 in the international.. but meh :p ) all the other features are still the same tho :)

S4 is faster at raw data processing and more efficient and battery conservative than the tegra 3 the only place its behind is in graphics but not by a huge amount

battery it wins hands down, however the raw data doesnt equal real world performance. there are some copmparison videos teh tegra 3 beats it in just about every way, from ui to booting...

but either way ive yet to find anything that bogs my photon down and its a tegra 2, so anything more than that is just overkill IMO
